Thus ends Paris-Nice. Was always my plan to end it today, didnt think theyd end up being 2 of 7 ManGame reports to be posted in one day - February ending very fast!
Disappointing for Gastauer to lose the Top 10 GC, especially since he should easily have been ahead of a couple of rider in there, especially Lebas..
Great race for Trofimov, not really the greatest of races from the PCM AI point of view though.

I'm more or less happy with Roux's 9th place, but on the other hand i'm disappointed that only the best could open up gaps, with others finishing in a 10 man group. It didn't really reward Roux's (and other riders) aggresive riding, and made the short prologue the most important part of the race.
Also, a decent ride by Thill in the stage, and overall ride by Bilbao. To bad Van der Velde missed the time split, while he's one of my better riders.

I think the pace of the reports are brilliant, just great!
Speaking of my team's performance here, it was a little bit disappointing that we wasn't able to be in most breakaways, but oh well, I can't say I expected a lot from the race.
Congratulations to mattiasgt. Superb overall win by Trofimov. |

Injured from an earlier crash I think - he went down early in Stage 6 or 7, dont think it got mentioned in the report.

Wow, 3rd in the KoM of a very hilly race for 65 hill Sanz is massive
Plus 3 of the 4 riders in the Top100
Congratulations to Koenigsegg, dominant performance throughout the whole race.

Indeed, it's fantastic to see it going so well, though it's nearly too fast

Well, 5 is not brilliant, but not bad either. A more than decent result for Luis Leon Sanchez in the end. A good race for Simon too, but I guess his weak mountain stat came into play during the last stage.

Fantastic race for such a weak squad - 8th, 13th and 18th on GC, stage win, team classification and KOM! Great reporting as well, thanks SN |

A lot of "too bads" here. Sinner had a nice shot for a stagewin here but was clearly too poor a climber.
Chris Anker had a shitty day missing the late split, and loses 4 GC places. That was definately not what I wanted to see from him today.
We came with nothing, left with little. Crashes for Lavoine makes this race a "could have been", but it's alright. This was never going to be a good race.

Nice stage result in the end there by Haavardsholm. Overall, not the stage race I had hoped for, though. Expected Craven to be better in this field.

I reallly didn't think Trofimov would lose in a sprint I though he would get dropped or something
By who?
He's the best puncheur in the race, clearly. Schumacher is the only one on a level even close. A serious mountain stage would be needed to shed him I think.
Amazing how consistent he is. One of those riders every team would love to have.
I though Schumacher would attack late a couple times but surprisingly he didn't try anything.
regardless, Trofimov deserved the way, he was just amazing |
