Well, I'll accept the 29 then. You can also drop the Fighter stat back to its original value to compensate.
I will have a big gap to Gonzalez and Zoltan then, but it gives me 2 more years to catch up

Not wanting to disturb you guys, but what's exactly the plan? The same correction as proposed earlier but age 29/30?
Or Age -2 and all other stats -2?
Not sure if both options would be fair, but well, it's something between you two

Well, I think I have the stats of a 28 year old now with the 11-point loss. So can settle for 29.

That's not really true. All those other stats would still be Age 31 level... And with those 11 points loss in main stats, you would still be Age 29-30(29,5) even in the main stats

Hmm, how much more points should I lose then to be an acceptable 29 year old? Would it be enough to drop 1 more on my non-fighter stats?

Well, in my opinion: 1 loss on non-fighter stats= Age 30.
2 loss on non-fighter stats= Age 29.
That seems the most fair. You can keep the fighter stat in my opinion.

I never said I wanted to be a GC rider, where did I say that? I want to focus on flat, hill, TT and prologue. Tony Martin-ish. Now I got like too many stats at the same level, making me an allrounder like Voigt.
So either we take down my non-fighter stats, or let's reach an agreement about lowering my age. The way Jes suggests seems fair. Or another solution if someone can think of one?

I agree he's not a bad rider, but with only 3 years to his decline age, he will never get a chance to reach the top. It's just very annoying that these random rules ruin the rider I had in mind. So please, can we reach an agreement here?

Well to be honest there are some rider with a bit too high stats, but i want that the game could start soon and i haven't big problems (for now at least) with them. Naturally i'll change opinion if they kick my ass |

I agree Ste, there are some riders that are very strong, so I can understand the need for a few rule changes. What bother me is the randomness and lack of transparency. It sure feels like Po-ding is getting hit much harder then other riders.
Personaly, this is how I have seen the custom rider situation:
The first rules were pretty clear (although some riders still have too high stats by those rules). The older riders, including Po-ding, could be a bit too strong though. I realise some changes could have been needed. The first round of changes was rather bad for Po-ding, as he lost 4 in Flat, one of his main stats. Other riders were hit as well of course, but they only had Flat as a side stat. But ok, it seemed fair to lower Flat all around. Now, the latest rounds of changes saw Po-ding lose 7 more points in main stats, Hill, TT and Prologue. Again, other people lost points as well, but not as much as Po-ding, nor in their main stats.
I'm not saying I'm being targetted, but it sure is very annoying that my rider is the only one getting this much stats lowered. Basicly I lost the type of rider I wanted Po-ding to be.
But I will take it to PM with TMM, and leave this thread for more general conversation
