RIP. From what Oliver Gavin of the Corvette squad has said, there was bark on the circuit so it may be that the car went into the barrier and pushed it back into a tree. Even if it didn't, the lack of damage to the car means that it was a hefty impact absorbed into one place, sadly. Lessons will be learned, but its too late now. RIP Allan. |

#3 Audi hit by a puncture, #1 Audi into the pits for something unspecified. I can only hope this play into a victory for McNish & Tom K.
Update: #1 Audi apparently has a "major engine problem".

I'm not so sure, they're already 6-7 laps behind. At this point, I'm just waiting for the next major event. |

So, currently Audi #2 are in good position to win, but they still have the night to fight it out. Toyota are in good position if the #2 fails. |

yeah u re right. from now on audi #2 has to do it. i think on car #3 is the weakest driver team. car#1 will have to push so much. they definetely need rain at night
edit and there it is heavy rain on parts of the track

Audi #1 out of the pits, 11 laps behind the leaders. Even with heavy rain, only a couple of crashes will help'em with their cause. |

the night might give Toyota victory as the Audi's (well Gene) have trouble heating the tyres.
btw. anybody going for the full 24 hours?

Both Toyotas are due to pit and Kristensen is at least a lap ahead, so no worries yet.
In the GTE Pro cat, the first three runners are within a gap of 30 secs, with any of them yet to encounter any issues. Come on Fisichella, pick the pace up! |

The night seems to have settled in nicely, no incidents except the odd gravel excursion. |
