it's simple, really. if you believe in an invisible all-powerful creature that controls all of us, our lives and all around us, "but hey, no one can see him, but I know he's there".
you're a lunatic.
but if you call him "God", it's perfectly acceptable. what a world we live in

No, it was about a chicken monster flying above mountains. That was really scary, btw. |

Lol, but really that would be bad news, if Rasmussen used blood doping in the Tour he sure as hell didn't do all that alone. Something fishy is going on at Rabobank
possibly although rasmussen was off in the "mountains" by himself so perhaps its more of a solo effort The fact that his hemoglobin increased all through Le Tour shows that he had a refuel (or many actually) during the race.
During such a stage race, you destroy more red cells (hemoglobin) than you produce, so your amount of hemoglobin should decrease all race long, there's no way it can increase, unless... So what about Contador? He held up with Rasmussen everytime, only cracked in the Aubisque stage
Hmm, I don't trust Bruyneel and co |

You do know how much I'm fond of DSC, don't imply that by not mentionning him I mean Contador is clean, that's the opposite of my opinion.
We simply don't have Contador's blood values yet.
Add to that that blood values coming from the riders themselves are not necessarily trustworthy, I mean I could give random steady numbers about myself, if I don't mention any source, who knows if they're right ? |

WOW. the Kashechkin thing is sending shockwaves...
grandprix.com is a site devoted to F1, and despite partial, it's insight into F1 news is nothing short of brilliant. and they never EVER report anything unless it's extremely important. you won't ever see the "driver X says this or that" type of news there.
look what I just found there:

Rasmus Damsgaard, the maker of CSC's anti-doping programme, says that the blood values he presented yesterday indicates use of blood doping. According to Damsgaard, it's very unusual that the haemoglobin level increase during a stage race like Tour de France.
Michael Rasmussen's haemoglobin level started at 13.3 in London, 12 days later it had increased to 14.2, and on the rest day it increased to 14.4.
Damsgaard says that the haemoglobin level is supposed to decrease. As an example, he uses the CSC-riders - their levels fell by 12 to 20 % which is normal, he says. That the value increases is a clear indication of blood doping, and if iit was up to Damsgaard, any increase in the haemoglobin level should give a suspension.
In addition to that, the German who has made T-Mobile anti-doping program says that the hematocrite level also indicates doping. And today, the chief of the doping lab in Lausanne says that Rasmussen has left out a really important parameter: retics. If that parameter had been included, they would for sure be able to say if Rasmussen was doped or not. |

I find it quite funny - Rasmussen has tried to be open and prove he's not doping - when all it's done is to make people think he's even more of a doper

really, the only thing missing from this to make it a really bad soap opera would be Contador or somesuch to claim to the media that "Rasmussen needs to be punished"

Would sound like Armstrong and Ullrich about each other ("oh no, I can't believe it, if he's done that, this is indeed very sad"
At least we'd get a good laugh, 'cause cycling rather tends to make us feel like crying these days.
Another sad news : Roberto Heras is contemplating not to return into cycling, due to the bad atmosphere at the moment (and because of the blood passport ?). |

Andy Schleck will focus on the Tour de France next year, meaning that Chris Anker Sørensen will probably lead the team in the Giro. However, in the interview, he also says that "if a big Italian rider joins the team, I will, of course, ride for him". I guess that could mean CSC is currently negotiating with some Italian rider? It better not be Di Luca.. |

I'd very much like to see a big italian signing, as it'd be interesting, but I really can't see any names on the market.
as for Schleck, it might be too early for him to do the Tour. most riders are set back a few years because they did the Tour too early. look at Induráin.

according to cyclingnews, D'Hont says that Pevenage told him that if he(Pevenage) confessed, he'd "nail half the peloton to the wall".

It seems like there are no rules to "punish" Michael Rasmussen. The only thing UCI can do is to give him another warning. It will be his third, but one of them has expired, meaning that it will no result in a ban.
Another thing: Today is the day where Rabobank will present their report - in fact, I think the press conference is right now. I just saw a highlight saying that "the firing was okay" or something like that. |
