Today we have just presented the Gold versión of a game called Ballout.
This game has ben developed by the junior students (Programers and Artists) in our College at Digipen Europe Bilbao. I'm very proud to belong to this group of students. It's been really hard to develope a Game from scratch. Our programers had to the develope the graphic engine, build solid phisics, Create a solid IA that still learning and growing, etc. I as an artist as my 6 colleage artist had to develope all the art. Taking into account that we also have parallel individual animation projects.
So here is the video, we have been 2 semesters working on it. I hope you enjoy it.
The game is not finished at all, we will continue improving it during this summer. Once the game is finished and if it's good enough would be available to download for free, from the our campus webpage.
PD: If someone is interested to see another 3 projects developed by sophomore studens, that actually looks pretty good , I can bring you videos of them.

The game looks really cool actually! Have you thought of not making it free?
I could see it selling on the Steam Indie section.
We are not allowed to do sell it. The school has all the rights of this game.
Do you know a game that is called Distance.
Spoiler
It's been developed by graduated students that developed Nitrinic Rush when they were at Digipen
Spoiler
We can it's something similar to them, one we have finished, create a better one based on what we did. Something similar happend with Portal and the TAG system used in Portal 2.
But I'm glad you consider the game acceptable to be on the Steam Indie section
Because this is the current discussion in Cafe Pedro, I decided to revive this. In NL, you have to calculations out of the head (damn, difficult to translate), even though everything will be done with calculators later. I got 8/10

Mental Maths/Arithmetic is the translation/concept.
Frankly the bigger pointless thing in maths is the maths itself. In 90% of jobs you will never need to do a quadratic equation then use trigonometry!!! Also i will never have 3 Apples in one hand and 4 Oranges in another... Hands are just not that big! And my friends do not all have ethnic names and will never ever get some of my cake

So, I guess there's a big chance we end up on the same University. Nice! I did Gymnasium the first year, but Latin and Greek bored me out completely. I could handle the level, I think, yeah.
Btw, if it wasn't clear, I'm doing VWO(to others, it's about the highest level, but one can say Gymnasium(Selwink & fcancellara are doing that) is higher, since its harder with more languages.)
And did you skip a class, Selwink? You're younger than me, after all...

I know. For history: 1965. How many years was that ago? And besides, we also got questions like 3/5 * 4/9. Still, like most subjects at school: useless. I also have to do science and maths. Where the f*ck will I need to know algebra

Yes, I did skip group 2 so I came to the middle school when I was 10. Greek and Latin did amuse me, but Latin has become so f*cking difficult. Still, gymnasium is good on your cv
