If I didn't know better I'd say Mads Kaggestad was in love with Martin. Every single time OPQS is on screen he starts going on about how amazing Martin is, his wonderfull pedaling, his beautiful movement, his cute cheekbones, those cavs glinsing in the sunlight...

Alakagom, Sky is only with 4 elements.
Sky didn't prepare at all well for this, and they seem not to care too much anyway looking the team they fielded

So, that's it. Unless Sky use some sort of super-fart power to get there quickly.

1 OPQS
2 BMC
3 Orica
4 Liquigas
5 Rabobank
No big surprises at the end.

Well.... once the UCI actually decide what happens with it. It seems like they don't really know yet.

Fun to watch, but still not sure why it's trade teams and not national teams. |

Didn't see much of the race, unfortunately. It was pretty fun to see how the Cauberg cracked some riders though. Especially BMC's climb was pretty exciting.
They should include a climb like that near the end of all TTTs. Would make them much more fun to watch.
Does anyone have a video of Rabobank falling apart? I missed that, but I'd like to see it.

Plus as it's one of the most technical event in road cycling, it probably takes a lot of time for specific training, which national teams don't have. |

There is no jersey but OPQS is allowed to put a "flag" or something on there jersey for the whole year (not only TTT but also road race and ITT)

Yeah, our commentator said they'd get to put a logo (that hasn't been designed yet) on the jersey. But they don't even know where yet. The UCI has said nothing.

When it's not national teams, only trade teams and no jersey I can't really see the point of it. To me the WC should be a battle between the nations, not between conventional teams.

Not for the sponsors, for the UCI. The worlds are the one race where they get 100% of the tv money, and it gets very good numbers. I'm sure they were sitting around trying to figure out how to get more racing on television, and somebody came up with bringing the TTT back.
As for it being trade teams? Probably because that's the only way the TTT exists, as trade teams. It would be stupid for the riders with the TTT jersey or logo or whatever to be spread out across different teams. |
