I am very angry that Cavendish is on Team Sky right now. They don't care about him at all. I think he should of went to Omega Pharma Quickstep with Tony Martin. This years tour is not as exciting as before with Contador and A. Schleck. I want Peter to win the green jersey and I hope to see some viscous attacks when the mountain stages arrive. Yeah, they added so much excitement to the flat stages like what we've had so far.
Contador did attack in a flat stage.
Ok, it was in the Giro. But still.

Davide Vigano seems to have caused the crash yesterday.
With 25km to go, Alessandro Petacchi took off his shoe covers and passed them to team mate Davide Vigano. Vigano was riding one-handed as he tried to put the shoe covers in his back pocket whilst riding downhill at around 70km/h when, unable to brake, he rode into the backwheel of the rider in front of him, prompting a wave of crashes at high speed.

And from teammate Danilo Hondo:
“Viganò was putting Petacchi's shoes covers in his jersey, when some riders ahead slowed down. Davide had only one hand on the handlebars, so he could not brake properly and he fell into the ditch on the roadside. Then all the rest of the group crashed, Scarponi too.”

Seems the break of the day is formed. Quite strong too, Albasini and CAS stand out if the break went all way. Good to see Lulu there too.
Gautier (EUC), Riblon (ALM), Sanchez (RAB), Chris Anker Sorensen (STB), Fofonov (AST), Martin Velits (OPQ) and Albasini (OGE)

LLS for his customary stage then, good for my Velogames team. Now I just need Roy to do something. |

I suppose "La Planche des Belles Filles" doesn't make much sense for most of you.
It literally means "The Board of Nice Girls". It's named after a board that a Swedish (?!) guy carved in the Middle Ages, after failing to save one of the girls of a nearby village who chose to drown in a lake around, instead of being captured, raped, etc. by the Swedish invaders. |
