Bushwackers is bit a Pate troll, but i agree with him he was one of the main reasons why HTC were so dominant on flat stages. He is real engine and i think Sky could have a bad time in controlling the flat stages.
But as Alakagom pointed out, they will have all Argos team helping (but i see kittel contesting the sprint three times at most).
Evans is my top favourite still, Sky will fail somewhere.
Edit: And strong Astana team, with great attacking riders i can see them grabbing a stage or two.

Alright, Sky must have no idea what they are doing. How could they leave out Danny Pate while bringing Knees/Siutsou/Rogers/Eisel? He is better than each one of them by FAR. I guess they don't want to win green OR yellow, what a bunch of morons in the management there. I can't believe I'm seeing this. This would be like Radioshack leaving Cancellara at home. At least now we know who WONT be winning the Tour. I hope they have fun watching everyone ride away from while they are unable to control the race, but I guess that's what they deserve. What a disgrace. He should break his contract and find a real team to race for that would actually know what they have. Congratulations Cadel Evans/Peter Sagan, lets fastforward to next year. I can't believe this.
Troll of the year?

Pate's not riding the Tour because he has more important things to do. Currently he is eradicating poverty, curing cancer and giving Chuck Norris a right good hiding.

They're always good for it I'd like to see them take a couple of wins! |

Tom Danielson is better than Ryder (in this situation), they should work for him and it is absurd for them not to. Does Garmin really think that Hesjedal, after already riding a GT, can keep the same form for the Tour (it will need to be even better with the stiffer competition)? If Contador can't do it, I don't think that Ryder can peak for 3 months either. I don't know how Garmin could put more faith in that than a fresh Danielson who has prepared specifically for the Tour.
But no I'm not just being a Danny Pate fan boy back there. I'm frustrated to see one of the best riders in the sport getting snubbed continually (Giro, Olympics), and I would probably be just as angry if it were Horner/Cancellara/Gesink/Valverde/Sanchez/Danielson getting left out, because these are the guys that make the sport interesting. Note that I'm not saying that he is as good as them, but Danny is one of the main riders that you expect to see, as we saw in the Tour last year when he was the engine on the front for the entire race.
And no, I never suggested that he could win the Vuelta, but if Sky doesn't bring him there then I will lose all faith in Brailsford. It would be nice to see Danny do something special in Worlds, just to show them what they are missing.
Hang on, you're mad because a domestique isn't doing the Tour? |

Don't even start jph. In Bushwackers mind, Pate should have won at least 3 TdF's by now.

18 Dutch riders in the Tour de France. The most since 1991 (!!).
Can't help but think that the changes in cycling last few years have something to do with that |

Then again 1991 was when the only people on EPO were a few select italians, a few select spanish, and a crapton of dutch
The preceding post is ISSO 9001 certified

I don't know who will be their leader... Peraud is too busy mountainbiking (Olympics), Riblon can't TT, Dupont has already been in the Giro and Roche...
FDJeux is interesting. Wonder what Pinot can do. Hutarovich for the sprints despite of his fall?

Yes he can, he's just in a shitty form lately. |
