Hesjendal has a low chance of succeeding in TDF. I reckon Evans will be pretty unbeatable and take his second TDF on a row, which is good for the sport in Australia. And if you think about it, it's a bit of a victory for England as well, as he official head of Australia is still the Queen, I believe?
So it's England anyway, Evans (or possibly Wiggins, though I doubt it)
I think the British wouldn't want to claim us and we wouldn't want to claim the British...
But yes Evans winning would be really good for the sport here. Public television seems to have tripled the number of races that they broadcast this year and they now have a weekly show discussing the world of cycling. Hopefully a second TDF win would just further increase that. Combine that with Greenedge and the future of Australian cycling looks bright.

Yeh as CountArach says, you couldnt be more wrong.
In sport, Britain and Australia are big rivals.

Oh, ok. Didn't know that, since I'm Belgian.
I only know their history is well connected.
But I was partly kidding anyway, I wasn't serious that England would really celebrate Evans winning over Wiggins.
No matter what I believe, I still hope Wiggins <-> Evans will be an exciting battle, and not a slaughter!
Or if any other rider wishes to fight, that's okay too, as long as they give us something to cheer for! |

Again, as a Belgian, I'm unfamiliar about this, when do we say Britain and when England? |

Oh, ok, thanks, that was interesting!
So that's why you have an English Premier League and the Scottish league, but not the British League. (referring to Football)
But in cycling, they throw it all together, apparently. |

Oh, I get it.
If Gilbert is on a winning streak, he's Belgian.
If he's like this season, he's from Wallonië
(Just kidding btw, love Gilbert) |

what about Leipheimer, does he have chance for the podium in Paris? When he is 100% recovered from his injuries I think it's possible. |

Not a chance. Nowhere near the TT rider or climber he used to be. He has nothing on Gesink, VDB or the Schlecks, let alone Wiggins or Evans.

They have a weekly show? what is it? and what channel is it on!? I normally never find races on TV here in Australia and if i do its at like 3 in the morning!

Cycling Central on SBS. They cover every domestic rave of all types and most major races in the European road calendar as well as track cycling.

I agree and i hope Velits will be the team leader,as he is probably now the better stage racer than Levi, especially with so many TT kms.

I'm afraid I have to agree with CountArach.
There are still many contenders, who are all stronger than Leipheimer in 3 weeks of climbing and TTing, like Nibali, Evans, Schleck (in climbing), Wiggins, Van Den Broeck, and more. |

Velits would be great on the podium, I'm a big fan of OPQS (and Garmin). So thats why I asked or Leipheimer had a chance |
