When you look at some of the names up there on GC then 14th place is a good result |

The Asturias is finally here. This race is one of our major season objectives and we are aiming for a top 5 finish overall. We have brought a strong climbing team to support our outright leader Stefan Denifl. On today's stage, we will look to be aggressive and get a rider in the breakaway and maybe attack on the final climb.
The break forms and Kenny Elissonde nestles himself away at the back. Other riders here are Sprick (1t4i), Moser (LIQ), Fuchs (NSP) and Priedler (TT1)
The break crest the first climb. Elissonde goes over in first aftr no one else contests for the points.
Back in the peloton, Jack Johnson goes to the front to try and disrupt the pace making of Euskaltel. The gap to the break is "4"23'.
30km left
The break still hold 3 minutes on the peloton. D.Bellemakers (LAN) has caught and attacked out of the break and has 50' on the break group.
21km left
Elissonde is caught sleeping at the back of the group as the group picks up the pace. They have a 2"21'over the peloton. Bellemakers is now a minute in front.
17km left
Nathan Haas paces Denifl to the front and he attacks!
14km left
Nieve and Sorenson attack after Denifl and Intxausti but are 40' behind after being caught out.
6km left
Elissonde has a very small 30' gap on the group of favourites chasing behind. Bellemakers is 50' in front of Elissonde. Denifl and the other leaders are in their own group as it comes together for the finish.
2km left
Elissonde is bought back, it was a good ride for him. Haas has good positioning in the sprint for second as Bellemakers is still a minute up the road.
Bellemakers goes into the final corner with still over a minute. He will definetly win unless disaster strikes.
Bellemakers takes a good win for him and his team. Haas finished strongly in 6th despite being boxed in. A good stage for us, and Bellemakers is no threat to the overall GC as he is a poor climber.
I hit export, but my luck strikes again and along with the 5 other screens I took from this stage, the results have vanished

@ sutty68: It was good.
I just finished the second stage (ITT), but I wont post it probably for another couple of days because right now this game is doing my head in.

Stage 2
A 14km long Time Trial, not our teams best discipline. Stefan Denifl will be looking for a strong ride today to keep up there with the other GC guys, and Adam Phelan will be looking for a good stage result.
Alexander Blain from Endura is the first rider to sett off.
Adam Phelan has gone through the time checkpoint 32' behind the current leader K.Koren of Liquigas. He goes on to finsh in a disappointing 52nd place at the finish.
Bordogi (TT1) blitzes the intermediate time by over 20 seconds!
He goes on to finish in provisional first, one of his better rides.
Current KOM jersey wearer Kenny Elissonde out on the course. He has an average ride and drops close to 15 places in the GC.
Denifl came in at the first checkpoint 40' behind and finishes 1"9' behind new leader David Blanco (Carmim). He is very disappointed and gets off the bike and locks himself away in the team bus.
Benat Intxausti (MOV), teammate of Juan Jose Cobo, sets the best intermediate time on his way to finish with the best time! He finishes 32' infront of current race leader D.Bellemakers (LAN) and moves into 2nd overall.

Bradley McGee: "Time-Trials aren't our teams strongest field. But still, the results from today's stage can do nothing but disappoint. Our riders tried, but didn't succeed. It happens, and there's still plenty of time left to regain the time lost today, so all is not lost. Plus, Kenny Elisonde still holds equal first in the KOM classification. There's still hope for a good finish."

@ sutty68: Time Trials suck.
Hmm, I hope so.
Stage 3
The penultimate stage of the race, the riders will ride up 4 hard climbs and the incredibly steep final climb to the finish. We will try to put a rider in the breakaway and if the oppurtunity arises, go for the stage win on the final climb.
A small group of 4 non-climbers get away early, but are quickly bought back on the first climb.
A small number of riders attack and Adam Phelan is right on their wheel.
The break get a nice lead. Adam Phelan will try to conserve energy at the back today and when the break is bought back, thats if it is, he will geve everything to help Denifl. Other riders present here are Roldan (AND) and Huget (1t4i).
A few more riders bridge the gap. Moser (LIQ), Monguzzi (Utensilnord) and Kocjan (TT1) and Pena (COL) are the most notable. The gap now stands at 4"12'.
C.A Sorenson (SAX) attack, a qquick 2 minute gap to the peloton for him. He's not far behind on the GC, its and odd attack. They are going up the third catergorised climb on the course.
Elissonde begins to push on the front, the peloton quickly goes from 66 riders to 42. Going over the top of the climb, all that remains are two hard, steep climcs. Positioning will be important.
Dirk Bellemakers (LAN), the race leader, is straight off the back!
The last catergorised climb has now been conquered, the 8km long final climb still to come. The break still has 1"55'.
A slight descent turns into a steep ramp straight up, and Elissonde is back in front to cause some damage.
5km to climb, Phelan has now dropped back and is about to be taken in by the peloton. He will now help Denifl as if his life depended on it.
And the contenders begin to show how they're feeling. Intxausti (MOV) goes after Nieve (EUS) while they take over the remnants of the breakaway. Sorenson tries desperately to keep his position.
Denifl has cracked! he's gone straight out the back of the front group of 15-odd riders. Nieve still leads with Intxausti following closely behind.
Nieve has 400m to go and is showing how strong he is. His contract expires this year, he's showing his team why he's such an asset to them.
..And Nieve is victorious. Intxausti comes in next 56' behind. Denifl finishes 4 minutes down in 25th.

Bradley McGee: "It was a very difficult stage today, we only had 2 riders in the peloton going into the final climb. Stefan's (Denifl) had a good position at the front with Kenny (Elissonde) riding in front of him, but couldn't keep his position. Once again, we are down in the GC, and our goal is now to take and secure the younr rider jersey. We're only 25' away from Esteban Chavez, who is leading that classification. We need to be more agressive."

Stage 4
Probably the easiest stage of the race, but it cant be underestimated. A rider like Nathan Haas could cause an upset at the finish today if there aren't any serious attacks. We will try to attack when oppurtunities arise.
Almost from the wave of the flag the attacks began. Elissonde was trying to get accross to the wheel of David Blanco in front of him.
A lot of riders began attacking and made Euskaltel nervous, so they decided to shut down the break with the help of Movistar. Thömel seized the oppurtunity and attacked.
86km left
At the foot of the only climb of the day, Meyeraccelerated to launch Elissonde up the road. Thömel was brought back.
25km left
Elissonde now has a gap of 1"25'. He is giving his all to stay off the front. Euskaltel are still in command in the peloton.
18km left
He is bought back after putting aup a good fight. He is exhausted, but will try to stay in touch with the peloton and help out as much as possible.
The leader Nieve attacks at the bottom of the last small hill before the finish. Duarte and Petrov begin to follow, none of the other favourites expected this and are caught off guard.
It is quickly bought back together and with just over 5km to race Denifl and Haas are both well positioned at the front.
3.5km left
On a small ramp, Denifl attacks with the thought of stage glory.
Once again, missing screenshots. It's alright, i'm disappointed too
As Denifl went under the 1 kilometer to go banner riders from the peloton began to rush past him. There is no real position changes in the group. C.A Sorenson began coming down the inside of Haas who was almost up against the left barrier and Txurruka (EUS) was coming straight up the middle. Herrada (MOV) was coming from a long way back and going straight past everybody.
450m remained and Herrada was at the front, it looked almost like no one would catch him. But then Sorenson and Txurruka found a burst of speed and instead of sprinting and making no progress, they were now both rushing past the wall of Euskaltel riders just behind Herrada that were going nowhere. Haas didn't have the legs and consequently gave up just as Herrada hit the wall. He lost so much speed so suddenly that he would now struggle to sta in the top 10. Sorenson and Txurruka, one on the left-hand side barrier, the other on the right, began giving it absoloutely everything and both moved right next to each other in the middle. It was neck and neck until one of these 2 riders started losing speed as Herrada did and couldn't make up the lost ground from the de-celleration and the other rider won.

Bradley McGee: "It could have been called a boring stage today from looking at the profile and route map, but Elissonde's attack kept Euskaltel and Nieve on their toes. We did nothing wrong today and our key riders didn't lose time. Stefan (Denifl) had a go near the finish to see where he was at after yesterday's brutal stage. We had hopes for a top-10 with Nathan (Haas), but you can't always get the result. Tomorrow will be an exciting stage and we will go for the win."

Also, the quality of this story is low (I know), and i'm going to put a lot more effort into it. It's really just the little things, but i've taken aa few shortcuts with it and think I should stop.
Also, monthly report will be up soon with last Asturias stage.

Just ment it in i've left out a bit and have added different things, and then not been bothered to do them again. I have to be more consistent.

You can check my movistar story... you will see that i have with time improved my reports(race journal) and some tooked me more then 2hours to make...but i did them as i wanted to do and i had lots of fun...(even when the readers don´t even imagine the work and time it costed) so if you don´t have patience or don´t want to do more, then don´t do it... .. you just need to show me screens as you have some great ones...and i don´t like stories without screens..

@ sutty68: I know, thats why i'm trying to make it better
@ fernando97: Thanks
@ baia: 2 hours? They'd take me forever to make!
I have pateince and everything, but I kind of had a mentality to try and rush through the first season brcause I wasn't sure if I would keep going with this story once PCM 12 comes out. I think i will thoug, so I have more time do do everything. I agree, stories must have screens

Stage 5
Today will be a very decisive stage for us if we are going to take the white jersey. Denifl will stay near the front the entire stage and attack near the bottom of the first hil near the end of the stage, if he thinks he can best the pace being set by the peloton.
134km left
Phelan attacked and bridged the gap to the break, accompanied by Sprick (1t4i) and Noval (SAX).
The Euskaltel-led peloton upped the pace and started to bring them back as Hugo Pena (COL) bridged the gap.
102km left
They were bought back, but an attack by Honig (LAN) sparked a reaction and eventually, 2 minutes ahead of the peloton, was joined once again by Sprick, Noval and the ever-active Phelan.
29km left
The stage had been what some would call, 'boring', until attacks in the break began to come thick and fast. There was still a 5 minute gap.
5km left
As they neared the uphill finish, Phelan was setting the pace trying to keep the break together, because the peloton loomed only a minute behind.
The final kilometer
The break had done well, into the last kilometer and they began their sprint! Honig wa easily the best sprinter and Phelan tried to jump onto his wheel. The peloton was right behind them!
500m left
And that was it! Over 100kn in front and they've been brought back with the finish line in sight. Nieve and Intxausti are coming around the right hand side of Phelan C.A Sorensen is finishing strongly coming from behind.
Intxausti wins, Nieve second. Phelan finishes 18th, he is abolutely out of energy and visibly disappointed to have been caught in the finalé.
After a small split in the last kilometer Denifl finishes 25' down. He finishes 2"17' in front of Esteban Chavez, and therefore takes the Whit Jersey and wins the Young rider classification!

Bradley McGee: A good stage for the team today, we took out the young rider rankings on this last stage and almost posted a fantastic result with Adam (Phelan). He rode well today and practically collapsed over the finish line. He was completely depleted, but still in good spirits.
All in all, we came to this race with ambitions for a top-5 in the GC, but reflecting on that it was a little too ambitious. I'm not saying the team isn't capable of doing that, but for where they were all at fitness-wise compared to the likes of Nieve and Intxausti I think they did very well. The young rider classification is a nice thing to take out of this race, the managment is pleased.

Good stage from Phelan, unfortunally peloton managed to catch up with the break in closing meters.... nice win for Denifl with young jersey.. pity it isn´t recognized by the game...
