Never thought about that. If there was support for it, then yeah I might do that. Also I was thinking after finishing this, progress and closer to June and July start Tour de France story with this career We'll see how it goes
Yeah, breaks are always tricky. But after few splits I am happy as e.g. rider on 35th place is well over 8 minutes down already. Will be interesting though hand always has to stay careful. Zandio will be the man

Just read through the whole story so far, it looks really great! I like the format of one-race-story (although I won't complain if you extend this one ) and your layout, style and screens are really good. I'm looking forward to see more!

cunego59 Thanks a lot mate, much appreciated
Rauling We got that sorted
MitchNL We hope so too. Haha, nice play on the words Indeed sky is the limit.
Absintlover We hope to take at least one stage with him indeed
Hope you enjoy stage 8 guys
Giro d'Italia - Stage 8 - Sulmona - Lago Laceno
2nd tough stage in a row before sprinters take over for the last time. Some bigger gaps might appear but we believe the stage won't be selective enough to create big gaps between favourites. We'll try to consolidate the Maglia Rosa and keep it safe.
After 20km of the climb, we have three attackers - Yohann Gene ( Europcar ), Lloyd Mondory ( AG2R) & Mads Christensen ( Saxobank ).
Halfway trough the stage, and 113km into the stage the trio leads the peleton with over 3 minutes advantage. None of them are dangerous and so the peleton slows down its tempo.
With the pace slowed down, Rob Ruijgh ( Vacansoleil ) & Rein Taaramäe
( Cofidis ) attacked and joinied the break who with 50km has 6 minutes over the peleton.
Jose Rujano is another attacker who tried to get away. He lost more than 10 minutes so far and isn't very dangreous, but it's better to keep him under the leash.
Zandio forces faster pace and catches Rujano after 6 km pursuit. With 40km left and still the gap hanging around 6 minutes, Zandio decided to stay upfront and reduce some of that time. Break has a good chance of victory today.
10km left and Siutsou almost immediately brings Froome to the front of the pack. The break has 2 minutes now, is there enough time for the peleton to catch them ?
With 7km to go and 5km of the climb remaining it's Basso leading the chase group. Siutsou soon can't follow, but Froome looks very comfortable.
It was inevitable. Rein Taaramäe proved to be strongest climber and dropped his break companions. He's the only one remaining from the break and is cruising towards the victory. With 2km to go he has over a minute lead.
Froome lead the favourites for most of the climb and it was pace that caught all the remaining breakaway riders.
Rein Taaramäe takes magnificent victory from the break. The Estonian will be pleased from his efforts after a disastrous opening week for his GC chances !
In the 5 riders sprint it's Froome that led things out. He finally gets a 3rd after Ivan Basso accelerated from his wheel at the end. I have an inkling those two will battle for Maglia Rosa later in the Giro.

Team's Reaction
Very comfortable and good stage for Sky and Froome. As you see we increased our Team Classification lead even more now, Lofkvist is performing very well too and finished 11th on the stage. Overall very good day. Now we get some rest and try to get Cav in position for some more wins.

Froome is doing just great. But the main question is: can he keep up this pace for the whole Giro? |

Looking good for SKY and Froome is riding very well, defended his lead...now hazzy´s question is good...we of course want to see Froome for the rest of the Giro in pink but imo it isn´t just Basso who will give some fight...Scarponi, Evans and Antón look strong too...

Ste117 Thanks mate, I like it too
hazzy Indeed. He doesn't have the best recuperation at 75, but it isn't bad and with good team support we hope we can achieve this big task Podium would be great too tbh
baia Definitely, but so far Basso looks by far strongest of them all, Anton, Scarponi, Evans will definitely be big contenders too as you say. Looking forward to big mountains now
Beleg32 Thanks mate. The priority will be keeping that Pink now and less about Cav, but we'll definitely have a go with him
sutty68 Glad you liked it sutty
Hopefully I can report stage 9 later on today and by the weekend start the real mountains So as I always say - Stay Tuned

Good to see that Froome's here to deliver, however, Basso's form seems to increase in the last week, normaly, which turns things difficult. |

sutty68 Sprint stages won't be exciting, but we might see a duel between Cav and Farrar soon. The mountains will surely not disappoint though
FreitasPCM Indeed, we are wary of him, but still we are positive and confident
fcancellara Thanks a lot, glad you like it
baia Thanks too, glad you like them as well It's nice to have your screens appreciated
MitchNL Thanks mate, haha and double thanks for the mention of pictures, glad you like them and hope we can continue like that
Giro d'Italia - Stage 9 - San Giorgio Sannio - Frosinone
Flat throughout and favours sprinters. The last 20km have a bit of climbing and then downhill to the line, sprinters with higher hill skills will have higher chance today.
Sergio Henao features in today's doomed break, with few opportunities for sprinters in the race left this will surely end in sprint. Henao will relieve some pressure on the team though.
It was Garmin and Lampre driving the peleton, Farrar and Petacchi must both feel good today!
Break is caught and we immediately position Cavendish at Farrar's wheel. We'll see how it goes from here.
You can see the whole story of today here. Before Farrar even begins his sprint, Cav is loosing his energy. His -2 daily form today didn't help, but it looks its over for a win today.
Farrar takes his 3rd stage of the Giro so far ! Cav struggled at the end but finished in a respectable 3rd place which should have been 2nd if not the tactical error. No changes in GC though.

Thanks batista, it's not bad without a proper train and with Farrar in super form but we got to get that 2nd win soon
BTW, the last 4 stages will have normal reports along video report as well. So hope you enjoy that guys I don't have a microphone now that's working, so I am waiting for one and hopefully it'll come around then
