Stage 5 will be the decisive stage of the 2011 Tour Down Under. Two times up Old Willunga Hill will determine whether or not Jakab Zoltan can make back the 19 seconds he needs on GC leader Tomas Vaitkus. The plan today is everyone for Zoltan! He will most likely look to make his move on the second ascent of Old Willunga Hill.
Sepp Forcher and Ruben van Weerd set the pace reasonably quickly in the peleton due to the presence of Rui Costa in the breakaway who is just 1'01" back on GC. There is 16 other riders in the days breakaway so we dont want this one to stay away. 90km left and they only have a 1min lead.
At the second intermidiate sprint just 3 riders were away with Matt Hayman up front alone with a 1 minute lead and 2 riders inbetween him and the peloton. Just 27km to the top of Old Willunga Hill now, Zoltan is looking very comfortable at the moment.
Just about to start the first climb and the 4 breakaway men have just 1 minute advantage. Zoltan is feeling even better now, things are looking good for IKEA-Bianchi!
On the lower slopes of Old Willunga Hill Jakab Zoltan attacks! Still 21km's from the finish this is an all or nothing move.
Things arent looking so great for Zoltan now. He has just 30 seconds gap with still 18km to go. Vaitkus tried to counter but couldnt bridge the gap, Popovych is now on the front bringing the gap to Zoltan down.
A huge crash now! Blocking the whole road as another group nears, Hawksea, Saunders, and Pye from IKEA-Biachi have all been involved.
Meanwhile Zoltan gets caught just metres from the line! And Matti Breschel takes the stage win.

Again not a great day for the team. Zoltan's GC hopes faded over the top of Old Willunga Hill but oh well, 10th in his first ever race in the World Tour and IKEA-Bianchi's first ever non national championship race. Tomorrow's stage should be a formality, we may target the breakaway but anohter top 5 with Pye will be the aim. |

well with the confusion regarding the breakaway and trying to set up Pye he was near the back and I forgot all about him, I'm terribly sorry but at least he got a stage win |

Note- Any goals you guys have? Any requests at all? This is our team so if you ever want anything just ask. Also thinking a blog from a rider every so often would be cool, get you all more involved. Yes or No? Cant wait to start!
As native's both Mike Pye, and also Alex Wilson would love to ride in the tour of britain, hoping for a points jersey
