Team; Uran, Flecha, Pauwels, Wiggos, Rogers, Gerrans, Thomas, knees
A course that favoured those still with good post Tour form caused a high paced race. The decisive move came on the final climb as 4 riders got away to fight it out them selves. Contador and Gilbert who were clear favorites were no where to be seen. This gave Wiggins a good chance in the group of 4. However he was unsurprisingly beaten in the dash to the line, but 4th is a good result.
1st Rojas 2nd Nibali 3rd Brakjovic 4th Wiggins

Transfer Update
4 major signings to keep you updated with.
Pineau QST to Europcar
VandeVelde GRM to Ag2R
Bennati Leo to Saur
Pellizoti free to GRM
The big news is the return of Franco Pellizoti with Garmin. Brought in to replace Le Mevel he brings great, if tainted, quality on a 3 year contract, which should out his career.

Excellent win for Wiggins. Did you send the team to a training camp beforehand? If you did, it really paid off, If you didn't then you did brilliantly! |

This puts him on climbing terms with Rogers, Gerrans, Lofkvist and Pauewls. Could he be a Grand Tour leader in 2012?

I think I haven't commented yet on this story, but I will now - I'm liking it. Nice reporting, which bridges the lack of screens, and interesting results so far too. Hope this goes for a while. And Peter's stats have improved nicely. |

Transfer Update;
Today it was made public that Sky have made a contract offer to Mark Cavendish and David Millar. Having aquired the possibility of £100k more per month to cover the costs the of the extra signings, the offer was instant. Other teams interested in Cavs include Omega-Pharma Lotto, Garmin Cervelo and appartently RadioShack.
We will have Millar to ourselves, as Garmin wont renew and no-one else has stated interest.

@AL
Neither are confirmed yet...
I was looking at T.Dekker but if i get both Millar and Cavs then i hit the 30 rider limit, plus i think Rabobank and Vacansoleil are fighting for him...

It was just a joke, but he suite your team quite well, as his stats are nearly the same as that from Lökvist and Rogers...

I am preping for the Vuelta...

Transfer Update;
K.Fernandez Eus - Andalucia
Bole Lampre - QST
Voigt Leo - QST
Bakelants OLO - QST
Maaskant GRM - VCD
de la Fuente Geox - OLO
Ricco free - QST
Astarloza free - Astana
Kirchen free - GRM
Dekker free - BMC
Many big signings here. Andalucia will be a solid CNT team next year. Maaskant will be good for VCD in support of Leukemans. But the main news is the return from dopping. Ricco is back, again. QST are taking a massive risk on a widely disliked rider but if he has changed it could be fantastic. Astarloz surprised everyone by not joing Euskatel
, but great steal by Astana. Its nice to see Kirchen back, nice guy and will be good at GRM. Finally Dekker (this is for you AL) did not go to Rabo as expected, but BMC will certatinly get a lot out of him.

@sutty
I wrote of the august races in favor of focusing on the vuelta, and considering our GT successes this should be a good move.... And with Peter progressing as he is a top 10 is not out of reach
