Who was the Garmin rider in the TT helmet? That was weird!
Anyway I thought Hagen would win, but to be honest I was really disappointed with Rojas.

12. BOLE Grega 163 LAMPRE - ISD 2h 27' 02" + 00' 00"
19. PETACCHI Alessandro 169 LAMPRE - ISD 2h 27' 02" + 00' 00"
That feels like the Tour summed up for Petacchi, one not to remember.
Also, according to The Inner Ring, Roy did what he promised, attacking on Champs Elysees. Truly deserved super combatitive |

Aaah, Cavendish took it. No suprise. But Eddy showed a great punch.
Eddy was directly in Cav's wheel, but he didn't get 1 cm closer. Easy way to become 2nd in a sprint though.
Pst. He showed that he is up there, and that he got the punch that many people says he dont have.
There was never any doubt that Hagen could follow Cavendish' wheel all the way to 2nd place

What are the odds for a Cav-win on this stage? 1.0001?
I feel that the best result of the day comes from Edvald Boasson Hagen, Cavendish is not human, but look at who Edvald beat; Greipel, Farrar, etc.
To sum up my highlights of the Tour:
- Hushovd with 7 days in yellow and climbing with some of the best riders to keep it
- 2 incredible stages and a team timetrail for Thor
- 2 stages for Edvald and two 2nd places
- Andys attack
- Evans winning and working so hard over several climbs
- Voeckler outdoing himself, this was more impressive than 2004 I feel.
This Tour has been far better than anything I could have imagined. Just 49 weeks untill the next one! Now we just sit back, relax and wait for a thrilling Vuelta! |

Remember this day kids.
Cadel Evans will be known as the last winner of the Tour before the Wilco Kelderman-era |

To be fair, most people dont hold the distance, usually the gap gets larger so the fact Hagen held the gap is a sign that he does have an alright acceleration.

Well, that's not really a strong feat considering the bad positions from which Greipel and Farrar sprinted. Greipel had to overtake like 5 other sprinters to still become 3rd and was the only one faster than Cav at the line.
HTC did everything right today. They had Bak in the break so they didn't have to chase. This way they a completely fresh sprint train, which no other team can match. Easy win for Cav. |

+1
Edit: Next year he'll have Gesink, Mollema and Kruijswijk in support too.

Terrible rendition of national anthem, Did they just get some random off the street? But, it's a beautiful sight Evans with the Yellow and draped in the aussie flag |

No. Watched him race in Rogaland GP and Ringerike GP (which he won this year). definately a huge talent, strong climber and diesel on the flats, nice combination, and very impressive considering his born in 91. A man who may win the Tour in the future. But he won't be as dominant as Contador has been in top form. I think there just are too many talents coming up. That said, I won't mind Keldermann becoming huge in cycling, a great guy And if Kruijswiik nor Mollema wins the Tour, he might be the one who can do it for Holland.
On the other hand, there have also been lots of talents who don't succeeds when it gets serious, hopefully Keldermann pulls it through. And he has every chance of doing it, being part of Rabobank, and their tradition for developing young riders.

Great win from HTC, total domination, but still nothing from Stapleton on the sponsorship issue. Shame if there is not one great company willing to sponsor such a winning machine.
