For everyone who have made faces this far.. All the schleck faces and other similar attempts, when the PCM face still looks like the generic in game face, then it HAS NOT anything to do with ur face, for some reason the cyclicst viewer and in game mode WONT REACT to the tga file we've made. I have a couple of OK faces, which also looks like the standard generic face. So this mean that the for example PCM hasnt reacted to the schleck faces and therefore no result will show. Check my in game A.C face i posted earlier on last page, their u can see that PCM has reacted to tga file and face.. Why it reacts at some faces, and why it dont react at some others is something i CAN NOT figure out yet ..

The Schleck face in game is definitely the Schleck TGA file. There are some points that are the same. You can see it alone on the eyes of the Schlecks that the file was accepted.

It was already in PCM10 that darker riders are better to identify. This could be the reason for Contador.

I actually dont agree.. The tga file is schleck but the face is almost identical to the generic/(standard face..

If u look at page 2/3 there is the one who maded the best contador face, and in game it looked like the schlecks and standard/generic face.. However i tried a LOT of things with that face.. And the "breakthrough" came when i followed the instructions about éditing the "curve" line. The ENLIGHT it, only made things worse, but when i made it way darker, all of a sudden contador looked like contador.

But i have faces for jan ullrich, armstrong, pantani and virenque and they look like the schleck and generic face..
I do have one question, the best faces in here, is where the skintexture is almost identical and u CANT see that there was a face imported.. How can u make the skin so good and almost identical?

The one who made the original A.C face in this thread has a perfect tga file

Just look at Frank`s wrinkle left of his nose and also the shadow there. It`s in the TGA file and in game. So 100% the TGA is in the game. I agree that it is almost identical to the default face but it is still the TGA, that is shown.

But as EintrachtFan and I are saying, it`s hardly possible to get all faces perfectly done in PCM11. You can make perfect faces like the Contador where you see no difference between the face and the surrounding but also EintrachtFan is doing such brilliant faces on page 1 and it is not working with every face.
Compare his Cancellara, who looks pretty well and his Basso, who looks pretty similar to the default faces.

The main problem is that eyes and mouth are deleted out of the TGA file and are added out of other files or places again. This makes it harder to get a perfect face than in PCM10, where the whole face was copied from the TGA to the game.

I do them with photoshop. The more knowledge you have the better do the pictures look. You can start with the curves to have a pretty similar face to surrounding colour. Then also copy, mix, enlighten, contrast, whatever you think looks the best.

Okay so thats is some of the explanation of the mystery.
How did u find out that the mouth and eyes is deleted out the tga file ?

How is that even possible Shock Shock

To me it is some kind of unexplainable mystery ATM. I mean some faces looks good in game and some dont, all of a sudden it reacts to the TGA and some are just deleted .. Theire is some randonmess which we cant explain i guess ? Or if we are lucky and good then we can take the good things out of the cancellara + contador face and finde some pattern which the game will react optimal on ? We have seen its possible. The bright contador doesnt look different in game, the dark one all of a sudden looks very nice.. There gotta be something we can take out this. First of all i might think we have to make faces darker like the AC.. After that we need the find out somehow why the game will react so good to the AC and Cancellara face..

By the way how can u view anything in the cyclist viewer without sunglasses or helmet ?

There is an extra file contador_eyes for example. So you have to make the eyes seperately. Otherwise he will have the default eyes. But it`s hard to find the right size/position of the eyes to make it look good.

The mouth or at least the inside is on the face TGA in the right corner. Due to the defined position of this the mouth must be at the perfect position, otherwise some parts will be cut out in my experience.

Here is the manual. At first you need to download the Lachi's Editor (on the pcm daily/ Downloads/Editor) It's not so difficult just follow the directionsWink

1. Create the new face (Call it Basso_face for example)

2. Go into the database ( Lachi`s Editor...) STA_TGA_skin.
There are 4 boxes. First one is the ID, just create a new not used one. Type in basso in the 2nd (gene_sz_tga_skin) and 4th box (Constant).

3rd box forcebuild, not exactly sure what this is. I think if you type a 1, then he definitely takes this one as there is a 1 at the black and the Asian skin. A 0 in the other ones, that he takes a random one of the type2-5.
I used a 0 for basso and the others and it still worked. So a 0 should be fine there for the self created.

3.Go into DYN_cyclist and search for the fkIdtga_skin. Type in the ID you have created in the last table.
4. Save the DB/savegame.

6. you have to activate the "one texture per rider" option in graphics options

Einctract and menchov is it possible for u to upload more of these faboulous faces ? im gonna keep editing them till it works in game.. just like the contador one i posted earlier

It's strange ! For me only Cancellara works. About Fränk/Andy Schleck I'm not sure. I did the same with all the faces.
