Narrative:
Team Garmin-Cervelo will start out strong, with Hushhovd winning Stage 1 and then Millar and Zabriske leading them to victory in the TTT, putting Hushhovd into Yellow for the first week.

Stage 8 & 9 will see the first serious in-fighting between Garmin-Cervelo and Leopard-Trek, which will let a substantial breakaway form and give the Yellow Jersey to someone like Charteau or Pineau - maybe even Cunego. More than likely, it will be a French rider in Yellow going into the Pyranees, which will set up an epic Bastille Day test of endurance on Stage 12 - Leopard-Trek will assert it's dominance and put Andy Schleck on the cusp of Yellow on Luz-Ardiden. Regardless, Schleck will be in Yellow before the end of the Pyranees and will take it into the Alps.

Meanwhile, Contador will be waiting in the wings - letting Leopard-Trek wear itself down defending Yellow. He'll chip away at Schleck's lead until, finally, he makes his big attack on Alp d'Huez on Stage 19, dropping Schleck and capturing Yellow. He'll cement his lead in Stage 20's ITT, and ride into Paris with a 3-4 minute lead and his 4th Tour.

Well, obviously I totally failed in my prediction. Wink Just Andy`s 2nd and a bit Sanchez position was correct. Biggest fail of course my trust in Evans. Wink
Also Greipel proved me wrong.
At least I picked Cavendish and HTC as most stage wins, but actually this wasn`t that hard to pick.

I only got right the obvious, HTC/Cavendish' domination and Schleck being 2nd. My prediction of Garmin failing being extremely hilarious in hindsight.

I think my prediction went quite well. I got 6/10 of the Top 10 riders, and had probably got more of them if Klöden and Van den Broeck would have avoided their crashes.

My biggest fail was predicting another fail from Evans. He really proved me wrong here. At least I got the other three failers right, since I think 8th isn't what Basso had expected.

OmegaPharma was the strongest team imo. Three stage wins from three different riders is well done, especially since they lost Vandewalle early.

HTC domination was expected, as was Cavendish's stage wins.

Biggest disappointment was Moncoutié, who I had expected a lot more from.

(Guys, Horner isn't that great of a 3 week GT guy as you think, and he already peaked at California. I can't beleive so many people rate him so highly.)

Most Stage Wins:
Cavendish

Green Jersey:
I dunno anyone, we just know that Cav will finish 2nd (Darn, but I was almost right)

Polka dots:
Andy or De Gendt, Poels, or Hoogerland (Hoogerland deserved it atleast)

Best Young rider:
Gesink (He would have won easily if he didnt get injured)

Fails:
Horner/Radioshack Pfft
The italians as a whole wont get a stage win. <--Fairly sure this one is right too.

Biggest Surprise: The fact that everyone rates Horner so highly, when its doubtful he will even get a top 10. And Wout Poels.

Best Team:
Euskaltel

Most wins per team:
HTC i guess

Most aggresive rider:
Either Poels, De Gendt or Hoogerland
Also it could be Hesjedal if Vaughters ruins his GC hope and makes him attack before every big climb like he made Ryder do in California.

I think I should get something for picking a Shack fail, but thats just me.

The biggest surprise for me was all the stage wins by Norway, certainly the two Norwegians could have called a truce and let Canada get a stage win, you know on Stage 16 perhaps! Cool

And technically speaking Euskaltel wasn't the best team, and the definitely should have attacked more with Txurruka.

To be honest I was really devastated to see Horner leave because I wanted most of you to see that he fair and square wouldn't have Top 10ed.

How can you rate Klöden, Brajkovic and Leipheimer as fails? They all crashed and got injured before they had a chance to even show themselves. They aren't fails, they were just very unlucky.

I know others did the same, but I couldn't be arsed to find every guy who did and correct him. Pfft

So...uh...six and a half out of ten in the GC. Cav gets me three more predictions right. The rest were rubbish. Voeckler as most aggressive might have been true if he hadn't had yellow...Grin

Txurruka crashed and broke his collarbone on stage 9. And for the most part I think he was there as mountain helper for Sanchez, being the last guy with him together with Verdugo. He would might have been used in the role that Izagirre and Ruben Perez had, where he would join a break on the mountain stages and be there to help Sanchez for a short time if he choose to attack.

That explains everything then. I must have missed it when I skimmed through all the stages I missed while on holidays.
