Obviously, the big question here is: Why?
My first thought is that he has signed a pre-contract with GreenEdge - a team that will compete for a ProTeam spot next season along with OmegaPharma. With the ranking points being very valueable in terms of getting that PT spot, there's simply no reason for Omega to keep him around - they are going to lose the precious points anyway.
Then again, he might just be a drunk. Read his latest blog entry: https://matthew-lloyd.com/archives/411
Doesn't make much sense
He was on the startlist for a race but didn't enter it. Obviously that isn't that rare but possibly something happened behind the scenes with a debate over his schedule or something... |

The interview with Zomegan is quite interesting actually. Best quote is probably "The giro is for hard men, not for little girls".
Would you say its for... macho men?

It's like the deranged ramblings of a mental institution patient, coupled with horrible grammar and spelling.

The italians also asked Katusha for the files on 5 riders living in Spain, 1 of which used to ride for the team, and 4 that still do.

That was what I was referring to.

Gilbert said in his column that Lloyd had private problems. Don't know what he means with that though.
Pozzato sucks!

More Lampre doping news.

Scarponi searched at altitude on Etna. Those local police must be pals of Nibali. |

Or Scarponi is one more of these guys who can't contemplate cycling without doping, so he got suspended and started doping again (if he ever stopped) as soon as he came back.
Life time ban on first "serious" doping offence could have solved that... |

A current doping investigation in Italy has turned up evidence that Lance Armstrong and Michele Ferrari, a doctor banned from working with athletes, met as recently as 2010.

Tour de Romandie 2011
Good route for riders like, Tony Martin, Richie Porte or Bradley Wiggins, Evans or Menchov. My personal favourite - Geraint Thomas Capable of doing Top 15 imo.

French media seem to wake up about Lampre's on going investigation just today (and yesterday), when I've been reading about it here and on English-speaking cycling websites for one week or so.
So, are they just late or has their been something new about it very recently (I mean since it first popped out in the media earlier this week) ? |

Will be interesting to see, who is peaking for the Giro to reach a top result. Big questionmarks for me are especially Kreuziger, Le Mevel, Rodriguez, Machado and Löfkvist. But even then it`s still a great fight. |

Löfkvist will finish on the podium, at least.
