Keep in mind, jolly can keep him if he wants him. There are no 2 year loans.
I made a deal with Jolly and I expect him to keep it. Of course I can't do anything about it if he decides to keep Brändle, but I'm sure he'll keep the promise he made.
SotD: It wasn't forbidden. I have just no guarantee. |

You say you made a deal. That is a deal that should not have been made.

Huh? By "Should not have been made" you mean we broke any rules?
You wrote in the topic:
Okay, but just so you are aware - there is no official obligation for jolly to loan again for the 2012 season. And of course, a deal in the 2012 season is effectively void should one of you have stopped being a manager by then.
Of course I understand and accept what you've written above, but you didn't say anything if we were breaking the rules. |

Aha! but Jolly is a woman and therefore not bound to your "gentlemens agreements!"

Its sad that some managers in this game only read the rules to find out if they can get away with something that is not absolutely ruled out by the rules, rather than to make sure they know what the rules are.

What would be the difference of only stating it as a 1 year deal and making another one equal this year? Because basicaly it is what we have to do, 'cause will need to publish it again in order to be valid.

So that when the old transfers section of the forum is archived so that a new transfer section can be opened, no one at the end of the transfers goes "why is that rider there? He should be there."
Plus, you can never ever tell who will remain season after season. If you had made a two year deal, and then your team folded, what gives Thrige the right to keep the loanee for another year, because he's got nowhere to be loaned from. Nor to return to after two years.
You've done nothing wrong by saying the loan deal will last two seasons, however, it's not an official loan until you post a new topic up in the 2012 transfers. There's also no point in writing about it, as no one else really gives a monkeys tit what you've agreed to do in the future, or will agree to do in the future.
Enough said I reckon. Especially as this is the completely wrong thread for it.
Oh which note, where's that bloomin' Elite RR? |

The U23 RR will hopefully be up in the next hour or so though, and I found it to be the more interesting of the two road races.

I take it that means Frank Schleck hasn't won?
I'm interested to see which kind of rider the course will favour in the U23 race - a puncheur or more balanced climber / puncheur. |

In terms of how the race played out, the AI gameplay. Basically Im saying dont get your hopes up for the Elite RR, its probably the worst Elite RR we've had.
The U23 RR is good however, and how a Worlds race should be. I have 20km of reporting to go.

Riders like Phinney who are too good should start using their their $millions to buy drugs and go off the rails. Then we can take stats off them |

Phinney has been outstanding here. Maybe he can make it 4
Really good overall showing for the Americans, very strong through the final selection

Fair enough, Phinney is perfect for this course, another Silver medal makes Tenorio's worlds a pretty good one.

Phinney is an absolute Man Game monster - but I am not sure about his credentials in the grown ups RR.
I am concerned we are going to get a Badaling sort of race whereby we get a mass sprint from a largish group of 20 - 30 riders. That may of course suit Phinney! Or will it be one rider (say Trofimov) gets away and cannot be chased down?

I think someone attacked (Gesink) and no one was able to bring him back. That sounds more boring than a sprint
