I propose this as an alternate result then, giving benefit of doubt to the riders initially placed high where it looks to be close

As far as my results go, I would have suggested those placings also. |

Wiggle close the gap with their win, while 100% Me edge out a little bit in 3rd. Meanwhile LEGO move up into 10th, and Quiksilver gain 1 for 24th.

How many teams do you reckon will promote? 3 relegated from the PT, and La Gazzetta? Are those the only 4 teams?

First off, 4 Ct teams automatically promote. You have to treat the defunct White Bear team as in effect 20th in PT, their manager quit after having said he would continue, but too late into the process for anything to be done about it.
La Gazzetta look set to go, and then there's Auber aswell - with Wiggle set to promote.
But then its not as simple as the Top 6 CT going up when you consider that 100% Me cant promote, and IKEA, Petronas and SL Benfica are all likely to disband aswell.

So the 10th place in the CT have a real shot at promoting? That makes everything more interesting I guess, but damn there's a long way from finishing that low in the CT to be a succes in the PT I guess...

You say that, but at the end of the day, only 250 points currently separates 3rd to 10th in CT, its all pretty even. Its hard for any CT team really, to come up and then be battling with ProTour teams who generally already are pretty strong - yet at the moment, at most 2 of this year's 5 teams who went up will be relegated, so its clearly possible. And thats without looking at some of the Wildcard performances this year, a variety of CT teams all performing very well on the PT stage.
Besides, teams outside of the Top 4 in CT will get the choice of promotion or not. Theyre free to pass it over if they want another year in CT to try strengthen their team, and wait to promote outright as one of the top CT teams.

Ahh alright. Fair enough... Will be interesting what will happen. It's very tense at this point as both the PT and CT is so very very close!

Question partially regarding to this promotion stuff...
if someone has promotion to PT as a season goal, then he´ll finish on 9th place, but due to inactive managers and managers with 2 teams, he´ll manage to promote - will be this goal considered as achieved? or team must finish up to 4th place or so in every case?
sorry for spamming, just thinking about upcoming season

I think at the time I had in mind Top 4 - hence why there was no Top 5 team goal, and why it was much more rewarding than a Top 10 goal. So Id be inclined to say Top 4.

Awww, I picked that goal thinking it would probably end up being the same as top ten and I thought I was being cunning.
Oh well, if I get promoted I don't think I'll care

I might be willing to stretch it to involve the first 4 CT teams to promote (so ignoring the inactive CT teams like IKEA), but not to cater for any ProTour disbandments

Why? Even if the manager is inactive, the team is still better than the active one...
So if La Gazzetta won Milano-San Remo and I finished 2nd is that also a goal achieved? (When I have a win race goal that is)

Except, 'Win X Race' is a pretty specific goal. 'Promote' is rather more vague.

True, but it's still bending the rules I think... Then there's also the doubleteam-managers like 100%Me and Wiggle that could be asorted... A promote-goal must be to reach a promoting spot, not to take advantage of other peoples misfortune imo... They already get that bonus from actually promoting, when they shouldn't...
Or that is just my oppinion.
