Tour Down Under - Stage 5
1 Francisco Ventoso - Movistar
2 Michael Matthews - Rabobank
3 Matthew Goss - HTC-High Road
Not a big group that made it to the finish, but Meyer was there, so he holds on to the leaders jersey. With the 3 place to Goss, i guess that Meyer leads with under 10 seconds to Goss, so could be a pretty good stage tomorrow, fighting for the overall win at the TDU.
Greipel, Davis, McEwen etc lost time it seems.

Also, I did want to add Ventoso, but I then realized that I had to add him to the list of riders, as he wasn't there to begin with. Doing that required that I had to re-do the entire bet, which I was too lazy to do, so ...

...so thanks for not adding him

WTF??? So "many" good teams, and then one from Chile National Team leads?? lol what a joke
One of the biggest races all season for South Americans vs Start of season warmup for the top teams.
Go figure.
Exactly.
The TDU is a bigger race and I don't see anyone being shocked that only the australians care about it, so why the surprise there?
EDIT: About Tondo, he says he didn't lose the race by crashing. He says he pushed too hard, lost consciousness and crashed. So, the crash wasn't the cause, it was the consequence.

Sucks for Goss 2 seconds away from the overall win. Nice for Meyer though, think he is gonna thank the Sky-boys for that double-win .
In a lets all bash siwi fest... I think Sky will be pretty pleased with two stage wins and a 3rd overall from Ben Swift - I make that an improvement on last year despite losing CJ Sutton to a crash. I hope that their 'rivalry' with Garmin is a thing of the past, lots more pushing a shoving with HTC in sprint trains these days!
