How to install a DB:
Download the DB
Uninstall PCM
Install PCM
Install updates
Copy + Paste the files where they should go. So one copy and paste to x:/program files/cyanide/pro cycling manager 2009/ and the other one to my documents.
Then you should have installed it correctly.
(I don't think i've missed anything out)
You'r kidding me, right? What is the point with your DB extracting itself when?
By the way. I just installed PCM a few days ago, for the first time in a very long time, Daily is the only DB I have installed in these days.
Go to Program Files/Cyanide/Pro Cycling Manager - saison 2009 - In that folder theres a folder called "DailysDBBackup" or something, go there and read the ReadMe

Before I re-installed it a few days ago, I played it yes. In these days, before installing the DB, i didn't play any PCM no.
Sorry for my bad english, i'm Danish.

That's odd. It should work then.

Did you install the patches? Did you install them before the update?
Are you definitely choosing the right DB in the options folder?

I installed the newest update firstly after PCM was installed. The Daily DB is choosen under options as defualt database.
Quote from the "ReadMe" file in "PCM.daily DB Backup":
"If you've problems with pink flags / crashing scouting zones,
you need to move the Local.cdb from this folder to My Docs/PCM."
- I will try that.

When Hell freezes over. Which given we had a warm Roubaix this year, we'll have to wait for the next Hell of the North

Typical by you!
_____________________________
As promised when the 1st version was released, we'll be releasing an update to our 2010 database soon. The usual beta version is expected to be ready in a couple of days while the final version - and our very last release for PCM09 - will be released c. a week after the beta version.
The update will contain a stats upgrade (the last changes were done after today's time trial in the Giro d'Italia), updated 2010 shirts and plenty of new race leader and national championship shirts and a new equipment setup. A few teams have been deleted and replaced by others. We've also updated a bunch of races, so they now have their 2010 profile, including the Vuelta a Espana. Lastly, we've of course been going through the bug reports and fixed them.
Lets see. MAy 30th. June 3rd Now. SO today or in a few days the beta will be ready. And a week after that the full V2 will be.

Pete: Reading the FAQ before writing a post is usually the most effective way of getting a proper solution
Concerning the release date of the V2 Beta: tomorrow. It's done, but I'd like to run through a season to check for crashes before it's released to the public - and I won't have time for that until tomorrow.
Remember, though: It's a beta. There's undoubtedly plenty of funny bugs to report. |
