Few points:
1) Great show Norway, especially the interval act, amazing.
2) UK last, good, what we need to return to taking it seriously again
3) Germany, yeah deserved the win i guess.
4) Allez ola olé!
5) OPA!

Do someone know what song Madcon preformed in the break when the whole Europe danced? LOVELY!
Yeah, it was on television.
In other news, congratulations Germany, not my pick but hey, you won!
Also, United Kingdom.
Yeah!!!!!! We reached double figures!
Congrats to Germany - I'm a bit surprised they won by so much, but it was a nice entertaining battle for second place.
Special award to Georgia for the weirdest vote of the night. 12 points to Belarus? Where on earth did that come from? |

What? It's allowed to vote right away? That means that there's a lot more time to vote on the 1st song compared to the 25th ... that's crazy!
Not too good for my bet on Germany
I take that back and now enjoy the money that I won on betting for Germany
The song sucked, though. Glad I didn't listen to it before betting - that might have changed my mind.
Lol
So you betted before you knew the song. Wait and you won! That was bold

I had only listened to Denmark's song. The semi final was muted until the results came up
So my choice of Germany was solely based on Google's prediction and the fact that many bookies seemed to have them in the top 2. |

Indeed
It was hilarious here, because we got that miracle, and immediately were demoted to last. Brilliant.

sorry UK people who are in disbelief right now (not meaning you)
We deserved last place, as I've said since we chose the song.

Georgia's voting was certainly interesting - and brave - they gave nothing to Russia.
And looking at the Semi Final votes. Switzerland scored the lowest amount of points of any nation - 2. And who did they get those 2 from? Georgia!

Fantastic. And their reasoning...well surely Switzerland wouldn't invade us |

Belgium did well to get sixth. Even if they were second and third all the way. It all fell apart when the woman from Brussels gave 'em no points. |

French commentators were mad against the votes saying it was (for most of them) political votes... Which I think isn't completely wrong.
Team Europcar !!
RIP Wouter

my opinions is just as valid as the next persons
i did actually watch it last night, well parts at least. used to watch it when i was at uni simply because we could make a pretty good drinking game out of it. i don't remember passing out one year because about 10 countries used violins
from a british point of view it just doesn't represent anything about music in this country. it's a rubbish song written by a 60 year old musical theatre producer and voted for by middle aged women with nothing better to do on a saturday night then watch a programme to find our entrant for the contest. the song was just somthing he had lying around that wasn't good enough to get into any of his musicals and he's only got the job because he has a contract with the BBC who are trying to milk every penny out of him before he realizes how embarrassing the contest is for his career and decides to do one.
the UK is never going to win the contest because no one likes us and we haven't got anyone to give us 12 points every year. but we could at least send in a decent song. with the history of music in this country and the talent we have then surely we can produce a semi-decent song that can at least finish in the top 10, which would be as good as a victory for us.
why not let some real unsigned talent to produce a song and not just get a bunch on no-talent singers to sing one of Lloyd Webbers cast offs?
rant over |

Actually, the Lloyd Webber song was last year. It did well, we came 5th.
This year was just a return to sending absolute shit, that might have done ok in Eurovision 20/30 years ago - this time the 'big name' was Pete Waterman. Supposedly a good song writer, but clearly not anymore, as the song itself was atrocious.
There's so many artists or songs the UK could send that would do well, but most of the time, we don't do that
