Rankings
Individual
William Ford of course tops the rankings. A part of the winning TTT, an individual stage victory, and an individual 2nd place - so a deserving leader. Their strong final stage lifted Vanderbiest, Bennati and Roelandts into the Top 5, but in 3rd was Jaime Alberto Castañeda, the sprinter of the week - with a 1st, 2nd and two 3rds. But other than the other strong sprinter Vanoverschelde, the top of the rankings is mainly dominated by those who made the decisive final stage split.

Team
Auber 93 may be tipped by many to relegate, but were a major presence in this race, and duly come away with a monster tally of 790. Winning a TTT is always lucrative, particularly so when it starts a race with only flat stages. Auber covered pretty much all of the wind breaks, and with 3 riders in the Top 10 GC, and 2 more in the Top 20, theyve given themselves a great start.
Behind them, the 3 major benefactors from the final stage, Gazzetta, Pearl and Carmeuse, before the teams of 3 of the stage winners, Cafe de Colombia, B&O and Lipton.
At the bottom end, Domina Vacanze, Warner Brothers and Starbucks-Radioshack only scored points for their riders finishing the race, and so find themselves in the 3 relegation spots. Not that they need to worry much for now, a lot more races to go.

Had hoped to end this race in top 3, so obviously not satisfied with 9th, by any means...

We are not amused by how that final stage went.
However, we got more points from the race than I was counting on. |

I'd just like to remind my team that we are in fact racing in Qatar.
Glad to see they took the hint
