They would've rescheduled right away, but a rescheduling meant they had to reschedule the rescheduling session
what?

The next german race, the Neuseen-Classics 1.1( "Rund um die Braunkohle" ) will most likely disappear from the calendar.
Thank god "Rund um Köln" made it back this year. I really hope it can advance to 1.HC again in the next years. This race has more tradition then boring Cyclassics in Hamburg.

The Specialized Shiv has been banned because of that idiotic 3:1 rule. However, the most ridiculous part isn't that it has been banned, but the reporting. Read this from the cyclingnews article:
the team has now had to scramble with seven older-technology Transition framesets reportedly arriving at the team hotel earlier today - and all eight of them must be built, sized, tuned and fully race-ready by Sunday.
Apparently seven can become eight in a single sentence.

The Dutch doing themselves proud with this one.

Forget the Pellizotti story from last year, imagine the outrage if he refuses to kiss a gay man....
In fact, I demand we have gay black men brought in especially for Franco...

@fenian: that's just 1 guy from Groenlinks, who aren't even in the government (and never will be hopefully).
Will never happen.
I like how you transform that to 'The Dutch'. Nice to know 1 guy from Groenlinks (left wing party) suddenly is the representative for the entire Dutch train of thought?

Seems to have touched a nerve?
It's a progressive country and I think if it was going to happen anywhere it could well be in the Netherlands or perhaps at the Tour of California? |

Seriously, don't politicians have more important issues to work on rather than deciding how a cycling event should work? No wonder why green parties are not seen as a serious party to hold the power in most Europe. |

I just read Theo's brother Jan Bos, who is currently at the Vancouver Olympics as an ice speed skater (longtrack), said he is seriously considering switching to cycling now, to become (one of) Theo's leadout man. Main goal being the 2012 summer Olympics in London.
First I though, yeah sure... but when I continued reading, I saw that Jan and Theo have already ridden on the summer Olympics together (in 2004). Then they where 6th on the teamsprint together with Teun Mulder.
And it's generally know that ice speed skaters are rather good cyclists as well, since most of the muscles used are the same. Just look at Fabris (Italian speed skater). Last year he trained over 15 000 km on his bike. That like 1/3 of what a pro cyclist does.
I've still got to see it happen, but, should be cool Brothers Bos on the podium in London XD |

A strong GB team with Cavendish at the head of that, plus a british crowd who do scream and shout and make walls of sound.

I was joking but... Sure Cav the favourite. But if Bos could develop into a Cav like sprinter. I don't see why not. With riders like Boom, Langeveld, Van Hummel(?) the Dutch should have a strong team as well. |
