I think he realized Silence was starting to get some mountain helpers (Still not amazing but decent anyway) and that it would be a harder sell that a 'bad team' was the only thing keeping him from a tour win, so he had to go to another team to regain that as a potential excuse.

And end of that doping discussion. It's fine to state the facts, but that's it for now |

Before the PT Cipollini had the worlds jersey as member of TT1 team, but not one of the top-auto invite teams for the Tour... and he wasnt invited to TDF, kinda similar to non PT |

I wonder if Cadel is thinking that he could do more in the hilly classics with BMC, but would never be a team leader for them at Lotto due to Gilbert being there. He did pretty well in the one day races after the worlds.....In other words, perhaps he's looked at next year's Tour route and finally realised he'll never win it! |

Because it's confirmed, check BMC's and Cadel's websites.

He didn't go there to win the Tour. My guess is that he realised on this years Tour that he is old and wanted some ££$$€€.

2) the atmosphere is mucht better at BMC
3) BMC has riders who would work for me 100% starting day one
4)BMC has the riders capable (physically to do that).

Not in the mountains, they're even weaker than Lotto by far. |
