Stage 4
V.R.S.A. - Loula
This stage is for sprinters who can handle also small hills...Zabel?
Grabsch atacks at first mountain finish..and destroyes 6.riders breakaway group...now we dont have 6 man group..but 2+2+2. Stil lot to ride..no chanches to stay away.
Augustin and Grabsch is first duo.
After few more mountain top finish...british fans are dissapointed T-mobile duo Cavedish and Hammond cant follow.
Quick step in busines. They have to chase down every escapes..main mission is protect Tom Boonen yellow jersey.
Sprint..same faces front again. Barbosa, Davis, Boonen, Wesemann. Davis takes a win and yellow for Discovery rider. That is fun tour because every day whe get new leader.

Stage 5 (last stage)
Vila do Bispo - Portimao
Ok last stage..has I have difficulty to play 07 (my memory dont like it)..I need to close everything else down and play with low graphic. Still I'd like to hang on for my main goal TdF.
Astana and Colom are trying today to take solo win.
Nice team work for Disco ...team has job to protect theyr leader Davis. They chase Colom down slowly but clearly.
McEwen prepearing for spirnt...he doesn't feel strong and motivated today. But has experienced rider he managed to get nice "sandwich" place for the sprint between Boonen and tour leader Davis.
Belgium champ Eechout leading..Zanotti seams to be only rider who might have chanches to beat him. Seguros pride Barbosa doing great job again...on the tour last stage also.
Eechout takes a win..no chanche for McEwen today 6th...and even tour sprint stars Boonen and Davis started to late sprint. But belived or not..this 4.th. place gives Boonen the tour GC win. How?...dont know myself..Davis has more sprint points.
Anyway...

Belgium here we come..
:
Leif Hoste; Tom Steels; Björn Leukemans
Fred Rodriquez; Wim Vansevevant; Johan van Summeren
Geert Steurs; Greg van Avermaert
What I expect:
Hoste will be leader (he's is about 70 form by now..I cant be dissapointed if he's not winning)..
Leukemans most important helper (I still have evil plan to but Leukemans for leader or nr. 2 guy for Paris-Nice..he is on decent form already).
Tom Steels..has it is he's season first start..just need ride he's own race.

Last stage for Algarve is new one...this career has not crashed. Just had memory full..and impossible to play. Just in case I keeped saved game..now I tryed when i but graphic low..and close all other programs wich is running..now it is playable again. Lets hope to keep it this way
And most of all..I hate to quit story...so I try to keep push forward.
And once again I can make your day more beautiful...I like those stats (after I saw PPDB 07 v. 3 stats)..even more. |

Gent - Lokeren
First coble race and back to team homeland.
Tempo is as slow has possible...Hoste is well protected.
Half of the race. 100 km. still to go...now the action starts Wiesenhof and Cofidis moves front..to take faster tempo. Peloton looks very long now..soon spliting will come. I should be careful.
Almost all Tenax team has left behind..cant understand why this race is in Tenax calendar..and also we see there forum "favorite" Kaggestad.
30km. to go..Klier atacks, this is dangerous..Gusev follows..O'Grady..Hoste is left for the chase group with Hincapie, Cancellara, Weseman etc.
This is it..they get 1.25 lead. And what a strong breakaway group we got...Klier, O'Grady, Pozzato, Gusev and van Petegem..dont expect chasers to catch them. They still working hard..and lead is coming down for 1 min. but then they started to marking eachother for the sprint.
O'Grady has the lead and also he has no choise..he need start the sprint. First man who cant follow is van Petegem..Gusev seems to be today's bigest threat.
O'Grady open the sprint and is also first in the line. He must be already in super form.
Group nr. 2 finish. Hoste cant to nothing against Cancellara..but he is happy to beat Hincapie, Weseman, Gilbert , Flecha etc. at the end.

I belive..Hoste will be great...he's form moving up..and should be peaked in Vlaaderen. Stuey has done lot of "damage" for me already. Aussie champ. now this...and soon Boonen will be in lineups also...hard coble races.. will be.

Kuurne - Kuurne
Belgium again...Major favorites has expected was again: Cancellara, O'Grady, Hincapie, Hoste.. I'm confused where is Quickstep duo..Steegmans and Boonen. This is already second coble race wich they will be out. What they are planning?
About 40km. after start things start to happened. First atacker was Albasini (Liquigas) and I got to chanche to see estonian rider Mandri in action..Ag2r decided to send him follow. Few km. later again..this time Rabo rider Flens trys to jump over to breakaway group.
Moment after that again this time agresive rider is Edalene and even Disco decided to send one of theyr rider...this time Cummings to join breakaway riders. After all those many atempts we get 12 rider breakaway group.
Coble races and falls..no big surprise. First victim is Auge..who was to exited in front of peloton.
Those small hills are made for be peloton destroyer...split..ohh one of the favorites Hincapie and most of Quickstep find himself on the chase position.
Hincapie doing 100% work to catch 24 riders first group..no way..he just cant made it all alone.
When yesterday was O'Grady who beated Hoste for good..this time they did it with all team. Hoste was feeling good..before sprint..he had possibility to beat much better sprinters then he actualy is...and all looks good. He follows CSC trio Cancellara, O'Grady and Michaelsen...no its not this time for Cancellara or O'Grady CSC plays for Michaelsen..nice one ...veteran takes a win. Cancellara 2.nd..that means double.

Now ProTour gonna start...I even can congratulate myself that I already made so far..now it's time to get some decent result. Most of all I afraid Giro..this is gonna be long suffering.
Björn Leukemans, Leif Hoste; Cristophe Brandt.
Bart Dockx; Wim van Huffel; Preben van Hecke
Greg van Avermaet; Dries Devenyns
You can find there some intresting names..anyway this is looks like my first option for the race. Maybe I need to get Jufre in lineups to get extra support for Leukemans. Most of all..I'd like to see Leukemans to be team captain..has he is terrible TT rider...he cant loose to much time at first prologue. Those seconds will be hard to take later back.

Stage 1 (TT prologue)
Issy-les-moulineaux
Last minut man change...Jufre is in Devenyns is out.
Frank Schleck set first mark down..this is time to beat. Finaly he is 5th. +9 sec.
Ok we got Ricco..he must improve he's TT skills to be come tour rider.72. +24sec.
Chavanel is flying ..french TT champ takes a lead..at the end 3rd. +5sec.
Sanches Gonzales...he takes a lead from Chavanel...final standings 2nd. +4sec.
Verbrugghe..takes confirm lead at first time check..but he cant hold it thrue the end 12th. +11sec.
O'Grady ..same story he blasts even Verbrugghe time at time check but in the line 8th. +10sec.
Gutierrez (has Valverde seems to be out of shape, Gutierrez can be most important threat for Caisse) 6ht. +9sec.
Predictor team struggles at the prologue..(they have so weak TT team for that). Best of them is Leif Hoste 21 +14sec. behind.
Here he comes..Rabo young future gun Thomas Dekker wins the stage and takes a yellow (concratulation to Ruben )

You forgot 5th in the GC
Thomas Dekker must really like this prologue, he seems to be winning it all the time.
Keep up the great work. |

Stage 3
Vatan - Limoges
Time for sprint O'Grady opens the show..only Sacchi follows. O'Grady is for me already almost rider of the month.
Few seconds later no man on backwheel..as I sayd before he is in super form already..dont know gonna he last in main cobble races also.
Former point category leader is now also man in yellow. Talking about my team bad results no need to be worried Jufre and Leukemans both are in strike distance...I'l be happy if one them will be in top 10.

Stage 4
Limoges - Maurs
Nice hill at the end..should some splits happens.
Bertogiati (Saunier) in solo atempt
Breakaway group nr,2 they just dont work together and Minard ; Den Bakker decided to left other 6 fellow escapes behind.
Last donhill section before finish Flecha is trying a sneak away..he gets 15.sec cap..but they close this down in last km. sprint.
Paolini still leads..but now he see something great..beautiful and strong O'Grady move.
This is O'Grady...again how the hell he managed to sprint so strong after such hard tempo uphill section. Anyway yellow stays in yellow.
