Okey, I have been browsing around the forums here looking for something I can useto edit a saved game, but I'm not shure what I should download.
I see some editors here, but I am not shure if it's the right one and I see some people complaining about them, so I ask; can someone tell wich program is the one and only program you use for editing a saved game? |

I personnaly use the Advanced Editor, simple, and once you get the hang of it, very quick. |

Basic info: A save game is a database, but with more data /DYN_tables filled). Therefore, all database editors can also edit save games. |

By the way, when I search for "advanced editor" the only one I get up except from Hannes is one from 08. Advanced editor V4, is this the one you can use for 09 to? And I presume I can edit stats in a saved game? |

When I use Winrar to extract the files form the Advanced Editor, can I just save them in My Documents? Do I just choose wich DB/Saved game to edit? |

Is there a step-by-step guide to using the Advanced Editor? I'm sure it'll be simple once I get the hang of it, but I'm not sure what goes where . . . |

1. Put the DB that you want to edit in the Databases folder
2. Open PCM2008_CDB_to_XML.exe
3. In Database In, select your database.
4. In Folder Out, write anything (e.g. MyDB) and click Import.
5. Wait for the "All tables imported". Once done, you can start editing, either in Excel (FullEditor/Exports) or in the program by selecting "MyDB" in Folder In. |

When I use the Advanced Editor, where do I have to extract it from Winrar? I just have it in My Documents. When I open the program and write the name of the saved game I wish to edit nothing happens. |

You have to copy the db or save into the database folder (one of the two folder of the advanced editor) |

Okey, I'm terribly sorry, but I just dont get the hang of it...
This is what I do:
1. In the "Solo-file" concerning my saved games, I open the folder and see three files there (one ending with ".cdb", the other one with ".cdb~" and the last one with ".cdi" ) I choose the first one with just .cdb, copy it and put it in the Database-folder for the Advanced Editor
2. I open PCM2008_CDB_to_XML
3. In "Database In" I choose the saved game
4. In "Folder Out" I wright MyDB and do not tick the "Local.cdb patch"
5. I click "Import (name of save)"
6. After half a second it says "All Tables Done" below the grey line.
7. I go to "Folder In" and choose MyDB
So far I dont get anything up, the dark grey area is just empty. In "Table" I have one thing called Export. This is where I am stuck.

Hmm.
Could you try checking these two things:
1. That there's no spaces in the file name of the database / save game you're trying to import
2. That there's no spaces in the name you're writing in Folder Out |

Yes, now it works
Just a few more questions, and I'll get out of your hair.
Now that I have edited everything I wanted to edit, what do I do now?
What do I wright in "database out"?
After I am done with everything, can I just start my game and continue on my save? I had to change the name of my saved (I only removed a space in the name)

What you do? You edit whatever you'd like to edit. See point 5.
In Database Out you write the name of the DB you want to make, e.g. Cactus-JackAwesomeDB. |

Thanks, CrueTrue. Helpful as always!
I was getting an error message because I was writing a complete path (i.e. "C:\etc\etc\DB1" in 'Folder Out' instead of just "DB1" . . . whoops! |

When I have saved and exported the new file (MyDB) do I need to add it somewhere? I tried just statring my game and loading my saved game, but nothing had changed. |

Of course you need to copy it back to where you took it |

In DYN_cyclist, there's a column called fitness_f_forme_fatigue. Setting this lower will make your rider less tired. |
