Hi!
I've seen this sort of thread in many other forums, but I haven't seen one here and I thought that it could be a nice addition
This is a place where you can share events that have made you rip your hair out
I'll go first: it was the last stage of a tour, one of my season goals was to finish as the leading sprinter. Now, to that I needed to win the last stage of the tour. I would then win the jersey, just a few points ahead of my competitor who already had the jersey.
The sprint was set, I had an amazing train going and by the time the sprint started I was allready infront of everyone else so I went for it about 2km from the finishline. When I came to the first of the three white stripes before the line my rider fell! Seeing as how I was sure of my win I had allready told him to celebrate just before he fell, so when the knucklehead got back on his bike, he didn't start moving... no, he lifted his hands and celebrated! By the time he had started moving allmost 30 people had crossed the line...
After that I did what any normal person would do. I started drinking through the night and when the day came I crawled into a corner and started sobbing.
Now it's your turn, go!

It was Fleche Wallone. I was controlling Caisse D'Èpargne and has Valverde as my leader - ofcourse on of the biggest favourits. Anyhow, the Classic runs, like that kind of races always does. A breakaway get's a lot of minutes, and the Peleton slowly ride them back again.
With about 15 km to the finish line, no of the favourits had attacked. So I used Joaquim Rodriguez as a lead-out man, and send Valverde with direction to the victory. Actually, Gilbert cought him, but I attacked on the way down, and got like 15 seconds. I started sprinting, and Gilbert really couldn't follow. With 1 km to go I rode into a corner and Valverde crashed!!!!!
Then I did what anyone else would have done - I pressed ESC!! |

haha awesome! i acually had similar story as thread starter. i was 2 points ahead on in points when the last sprint on champs elysees went. my train was the best train and i had an awesome posision. then my 3 guy in the train fell and took out my leadoutman and cavendish! got a 10th place with boasson hagen but lost the pointsrace against boonen. guess i wount be playing that career for a week or two. |

I decided to simulate the last stage of the Tour of Luxembourg last night, while 2 of my riders were in the top 5, and one of those was leading the race. A relatively flat stage, I thought, so safe enough........
oh no....both of my riders withdrew from the race, one with a tendon injury (which will force him to miss the Tour de Suisse and the TdF) and the other with....wait for it.......
A BROKEN NECK!!
Bizarrely though. his neck will be fine in a week or so!!!!!
Never, never, never simulate!

Almost everytime I'm on a hilly classic and I manage to attack and make a good gap my rider ends up falling when he's descending a hill. |

Danilo Di Luca impossible to beat during the Giro... There should be some inbuilt possibility to put the dopers out of play for a period of time, either in the game or DB. I've read the thread about using one of the injuries in this way, but what about those riders who are unlucky enough to be "injured" this way randomly by the game? For example my leader in the last stage of the race he is going to win? Now that would be something to get frustrated about... |

Yes, indeed, but PCM is random, so will be the dopers. |

In the next PCM.daily DB, the dopers are in the DB as free agents, but have been assigned a doping injury (Suspended by UCI). This injury won't happen to other riders, though, only the ones that we've set. |

But yeah, I've played three times the Giro and he wins almost all the stages, it's a little bit frustrating. But there are some stages where you can make a big gap and maybe win the race (Blockhaus and all the TTs) |

I think it was PCM 06 or something. I had Moncoutie 3rd in the Tour with 2 stages to go...then he withdraws, not with a serious injury, but a bruised hand
I was so mad |

Fustrating is ....deleting your season by accident while in process of writing story as you go....
Was lousy week for me after doing that lol.....

Game crash when Bradley Wiggins wins one of the mountain stages, with 30 sec ahead of Pereiro and 1min+ on Contador and even more on Evans, i press x for making Wiggins cheer with 0.1km to go, game crashes. if it wasnt for that i would have become second in the TdF before Evans, and maybe very close to Contador for the win. Atleast i still got 3th, lost my second place on Mont Ventoux, damn that mountain is hard <.<
