As something new this year, we (or you, if you're faster than us ) will be making one thread for each stage of the Tour. Otherwise, we'll end up with a thread consisting of hundreds of pages, and that's not too good for the server running this site.
If you make one of these threads, we'd prefer if you kept it updated with:
1. Stage Profile
2. Stage Description (if possible)
3. Streaming Links
The last thing is important. During a stage, there's a lot of people who ask for websites on the internet where they can watch the stage live. Hopefully, they'll now just turn to page 1, the opening post, and click. So, please keep your post updated when you or someone else find a stream.
Enough introduction - now, onto the serious business.
Monaco - Monaco, 15.5 km time trial / prologue
This Tour's spectacular start will separate the men from the boys. The inaugural time trial of 15 kilometres is already long enough to make the favourites show themselves, especially since a part of the route will lead the riders up the coastal hills and into the hinterland of the glamorous city. It is a demanding, technical route with several particularly steep climbs, including a 10 percent incline.
The descent is slightly technical with a right hand hairpin at the 4km-mark, as well as four tight curves to master just before the riders hit the seafront straight to the finish in the old harbour.
Just like Formula 1 racers, the riders will start their dash at the Formula 1 Grand Prix starting line before entering the Tunnel and launching into the home stretch on the famous route de la Piscine.

Yes, I think you're right. Althrough the rout is quite hilly, Cancellara is still the man to beat.
P.S. : Actually, wasn't the ITT form the Olympic Games 2008 as hilly as this one and he won ? |

Didn't saw the whole team presentation . Where can I see who's riding and who isn't ? Checked a lot of sites but didn't found nothing (except the news the bonnen's cleared). It just wanna see the Saxo Bank team, don't care about the others.
P.S. Heard that Chris Horner won't ride in Le Tour. Is that true ? And if so, why? |

maybe... maybe not. Don't forget, there are still Leipheimer, Evans, Contador, Grabsach, Wiggins... so it will be a close battle. |

Grabsch doesn't stand a chance tomorrow. And I doubt Evans, Wiggins or Leipheimer will win either. We'll see.
EDIT: Oh and Larsson, no chance.

Grabsh doesn't have a change. The victory will be probably to Cancellara, if he appears in the same form he was in Tour de Suisse |

I personally think all the GC contender's focus is on the third week and so did they build up their form. In my eyes someone who mainly concentrates on the prologue will win it
