The game is almost ready for the green flag on Wednesday and I would like to share with you some of the latest screens from the game.
I hope you have enjoyed playing the beta version but now this is going to get serious as during the official competition there will be a big cash price for the winner. So prepare your strategies, make a wise selection of riders and get ready because this summer you will be Cycling Online!!
The game will be hosted on many important Internet websites such as letour.fr, FranceTV and many others but you can also access it directly through the official link on www.tourdefrance-game.com
Remember that the registration period will be open from July 1st 2009 until July 26th 2009. The end of the game is expected on August 20th when the last league will come to an end, and at that moment the overall winner of the game will be announced.

The new heading bar is a big improvment.
Good Luck with the game, you don't really need it though

Also, it's a fun game actually.
Requires a little bit of effort, but fun.
(For pcmdaily people, if you enjoy the man game, you're probally going to enjoy this too, it's quite similar)

I'm done with this, I don't have the time or money required to buy Cyans to stand a chance. |

It is really fun. I did the Beta 4 and even though it took a lot of time it was very fun and interactive. You control everything and it seems very real. I won the yellow jersey (wanted to throw that in there ) I think that even though it is free to join, the game will bring in a lot of money because those cyans really help you win. I look forward to the game beginning.

In the 'full game', there'll only be one stage per day. I don't know when it's simulated, but I'm pretty sure it'll be afternoon / evening - so no, don't worry about having to get up at 2:30 to massage your riders |

ok. I thought that you weren't so that's why it shows that.
And I have no problems signing in at the moment.

Hi all, the final list of prizes has been announced.
The overall winner of the game (1st on Global Ranking on August 20th) will get 3,000€ in cash.
There will also be a draw to select 19 players among the next 150 on the Global rankings and they will receive:
Ranking Gain
1 3000€
2 1500€
3 1000€
4 500€
5 250€
6 250€
7 250€
8 250€
9 250€
10 250€
11 250€
12 250€
13 250€
14 250€
15 250€
16 250€
17 250€
18 250€
19 250€
20 250€
About your questions, during the official game there will be only 1 race per day as Cruetrue says and it will get simulated between 14h00 and 20h00 (Paris time) depending on the league you are.
Finally, I don't agree with you Dan_Grr:
I'm done with this, I don't have the time or money required to buy Cyans to stand a chance.
There are many people on this beta who have won their Tour or even managed to get a position on the top 5 of Global Ranking without paying a single buck, not to mention that the list of prices is not what we call "expensive" (You can buy 10 cyans for 1,50€ or even cheaper on some countries) so obviously I cannot agree with what you are saying.
Of course, if you don't pay anything, you will have to sacrifice some comfort which means you will have to spend more time connected or be more careful while planning things, but I think that's pretty fair is not like other games where if you don't pay you really don't have an option to win.

For example my league ended before 19th stage, because it started a day later. My leader had gap of about 10 minutes with still Mont Ventoux coming... I didn't need any Cyans, but I think that in the final version many people will buy them... And for example equipment which can add your rider +5 MO for 3 Cyans... It's not only about comfort, but for sure advantage for the players, who'll buy them...

yeah but you will also increase your rider stats since you have a few days before the first mountain stage so the equipment won't be really that important

Have you played it? It's very hard to make MO more than 81 if you want him to have some good TT, too. I think before first mountain stage it's possible to get about 79....I think it's very big difference between 79 and 84 thanks to equipment
EDIT: When will the final version start?
