5 days till the names are announced.
Anyone else think no big names will be there?

Surely several will be named. Maybe some from CSC and Astana. I hope so How many people are being named or is that not available??? Probably be scarponi aswell looking at his tirreno performance
ReschNicolai @ it is about when the uci said a few months back that quite a number of riders had interesting "wierd" blood values and were suspicious and a few are going to be named I think as it proves doping

Ok, so this is before the giro? I think many riders were doped under the giro, Scarponi as one of them.

All I can say is, what is the point of it all?
McQuaid went on to explain that the UCI would not itself be suspending the named riders, instead leaving it to teams to decide what action should be taken immediately against their riders. "There will be no provisional suspension. It will be up to the teams to decide what they do," said McQuaid.
Is it a Men in Black thing again?
If it is truely evidence, then surely they should be able to suspend riders supposedly "guilty" of something? |

I think they are a few big names on the list but the UCI are hoping they catch a few more small names, out them and then sweep the big names under the carpet. |

A few days ago, it was announced that Elmiger and Valjavec would suddenly change their plans and skip the Tour. Maybe them?
I know the Belgians will kill me now, but Devolder's also a bit weird. He's Quickstep's Tour captain, yet he's been doing horrible in Dauphine so far - maybe due to a small letter from UCI telling him about his weird blood values? |

Without accusing anyone, if they were caught, would not be surprised. I hope Rui Costa be clean. |

According to this article, the UCI hasn't told the riders nor the teams who the suspects are yet

It may sound masochistic, but I actually hope for quite a big catch including some big ones, which hopefuly will scare the rest of the peloton from doping. |

Farrar can you please explain??? Yes he did well in the giro but the only quality sprinters were cav and petacchi and he was beat by them in most cases so i dont see your point. Also do you ever see sprinters getting caught doping?? Not really its mainly climbers/stage racers!!! I think the list might include some saxo bank riders as they said during last years tour some riders had dodgy values. Cant see any astana riders but i hope so. |

I don't think Farrar has been utterly surprising. He's been developing well. |

I don't think it's going to be the Giro riders featuring prominently here.
This announcement is all about the Tour.

I didn't say that he is gonna be caught. I just say if he will be "caught", I will don't stay surprised.
And Fenian_1234, Her results in this season, doesn't are just in the Giro.

Ze_Duarte - Do you actually follow cycling as you seen a bit silly to me. How can farrar be doped he is on one of the most respected teams by anyone as they are one of the best teams combating doped. Look at why they didnt hire kohl!!! You are one of those people who point the finger all you have to look at is how old he is. How long he has been rzcing in the pro peleton in europe and also look at the starting fields he is against. Its not like he has never been near the front at a sprint is it!!! |

Farrar has progressed steadily over the years, I don't think any chance. |

1 Vaughters exagerates a lot . they have a good anti doping programm , but they are not the most respected team in cycling
2 Farrar is not doped he developed good , he has a good acceleration still needs to find his pace to keep that longer cause he burst but he cannot keep the speed a lot.
3 I don't think will be big names caught this is a diversion for the media to keep them busy
