The story on cycling news today made me lol
My favouite few lines
The cyclist's attorney continues to maintain that the test results merely show "left over" doping from the Tour de France
Meanwhile, Schumacher's lawyer, Michael Lehner, again said the doping was still in his client's body after the Tour de France. "I don't see any new qualities. It is the same stuff. You have to look at the Tour de France and the Olympics together," he said.
Lehner's statements indicate that Schumacher used CERA during the Tour de France, which is in contradiction to the cyclist's consistent claim that he has never used any doping products. He is currently appealing his two-year ban for CERA use at the Tour with the Court of Arbitration for Sport, based on the argument that he did not dope.

Schumacher and his lawyer.... I think think both are stupid.
They say that the doping test was analyzed by the same labor which had the doping tests of the Tour de France.
They say they (the french doping labor) stored the test of Schumacher wrong (too hot etc.) and so a ban would be "invalid" because they had to store it right so thats why they say that Schumi hasnĀ“t doped.
But the president of the BDR
Scharping former defense minister of Germany who sold some tanks to Turkey behind some regulations and especially made very often holiday which was paid by the germans

of course that a no-climber that breaks away on a lot of mountain stages and wins both TTs in Le Tour in front of riders like Cancellara, Evans, Menchov is 100% clean

Aheem. The UCI has joined CONI for the May 11th hearing of Valverde as joint prosecutors.
This means 2 things:
1. Valverde will now have to defend himself against the prosecution of 2 entities
2. If he's suspended, the ban will be worldwide *snicker*
Make that 4. Now also WADA and the spanish federation

Guess they couldn't avoid the huge bold letters saying "Valverde is doped!!" anymore.

Astana wants to sign Phinney
More importantly:
Massimo Besnate, a doctor in the cycling peloton for 27 years says:
"I heard about a new product that comes from England. Scientists are trying to identify the molecule because they haven't yet found a way to detect it through the anti-doping tests. "
Dr. Besnate also denounced the Russian market as a hub for trafficking in banned substances: "Here you buy everything, not just through the Internet. The market is extremely active."
Massimo Besnate is the doctor for the Fuji-Servetto team
This is just very depressing

Is Astana really in a position to add MORE salaries to their costs? |

We're talking about an Eastern European government here. They are so desperate to be the best that they don't care about the costs

Well, when they didn't disband after Vino nad Kaschechkin tested positive, I think it will be hard to chase them out.

I think it's more astonishing. Something came from England!? We... made... something?!

On the subject of doping, Lance Armstrong's best friend gave his national champion's jersey back.
Don't think this has been posted yet. |

Astana want to sign Taylor Phinney? Isn't it more like: "Armstrong wants to take over Astana, name it Trek - Livestrong Pro Cycling Team and promote Taylor Phinney from the U23 squad of the same name"

that's a crazy prediction.
Let just hope that he will sign with an American team like Columbia or Garmin, not with Astana.
