Well, it may not be as big as P-N, but it's still a PT race, and deserves a thread of it's own. Come on Cance!

Wide open. It's up to the better time-triallist among whoever can not lose much time to the best in the mountains.
Basso, Lovkvist and even Gesink come to mind at first.

Basso, is my favourite, if he doesn't get broke or something. |

Stage 1 - March 11: Cecina - Capannori, 147km
Stage 2 - March 12: Volterra - Marina di Carrara, 177km
Stage 3 - March 13: Fucecchio - Santa Croce sull'Arno, 166km
Stage 4 - March 14: Foligno - Montelupone, 171km
Stage 5 - March 15: Loreto - Macerata (ITT), 30km
Stage 6 - March 16: Civitanova Marche - Camerino, 235km
Stage 7 - March 17: San Benedetto del Tronto - San Benedetto del Tronto, 169km
EDIT: Those of you who watched last year's Tirreno stage going up the Montelupone twice, know full well what to expect. How many riders didn't get off the bike and climb it on foot? 10? 15, maybe?

There's no chance, though, that Cancellara will be able to defend his win from last year. He's been injured and has pretty much zero race condition (... in PCM language ). |

What about Rebellin. Will a odds of 41 validate a bet on him?

I doubt Gesink will be able to go for the win here. He lacks the accelleration needed for the italian hills, which is why he is here: to built up acc for the ardennes. plus he wont be able to beat a guy like Lovkvist in that TT.
Top 10 should be good though.
and besides Lovkvist, I was thinking Gerdemann??? |

I think Lövkvist can do well, he was very strong in Erioca, and he has the power to do the hills, and the skills to win the time trial.

I'm really looking forward to stage 4. It may be a hard stage for the riders, but the Montelupone will sure offer some spectacle.
All motorbikes beware!!! |

Andy Schleck perhaps?
Valjavec, Brajkovic, Klöden, Arroyo, Rebellin, Landaluze, Basso, Pellizotti, Nibali, Di Luca, Gesink, Dekker, Lövkvist, Siutsou, Gerdemann...
My bet is Thomas Lövkvist, I could also see Nibali doing well, if allowed to race his chances... |

not with this TT
i'd say Kloeden, Lövkvist, Gerdemann, and Basso, depending on his TT skills |

Andy Schleck has a better TT than what people tend to think - he's not Frank |
