Instead of starting a new thread every time someone "leaves", I thought we could have one thread I'm leaving the night between Saturday and Sunday the 22nd of July -- one week to Turkey with my girlfriend, meaning that I'll be back home on the 29th, just in time to watch the final of Le Tour |

since we're at it, I'll join you:
I'm leaving in september for the part of europe with the most germans per square inch: the western coast of Alentejo (It's not like I have to go abroad to spend the summer somewhere warm )
have fun Mike too bad you'll miss the Tour
EDIT: where in Turkey are you going? from my experience there: WATCH OUT FOR INSANE TAXI DRIVERS!!

I guess Alentejo is a part of Portugal?
And yeah, it's quite sad that my chicken (Rasmussen) will have to do without my support. I'm not sure if he can overcome such a challenge
I've been to Turkey like 6-7 times, so don't worry. I'll get home alive. This time, I'm going to Alanya. Have only been there once before. All the other times, I have been in Icmelir (spelling..) near Marmaris. |

funny, just remembered the story of why he's named chicken. anyway...
the thing that most struck me about Turkey were the taxi drivers. two amazing things:
1. how every one of them can smoke an entire pack of cigarettes in less than two hours, and then simply stop the taxi wherever it is in the middle of the road and walk off to buy more
2. how they drive like maniacs, crash, then yell at each other until "the loser" goes back to his car looking defeated and the other looking victorious.....and not even considering asking the other guy for insurance data or compensation |

After tour I leave also about 7-10 days. To visit my battery charge place. No TV no radio no computer no internet , no people about 3km. radius(we have electricity for shure). Things what we have: lot of books, sauna, sea (both side of the house about 60m. front and 100 m. back. on the house).
In the evning I just open the big doors (wich is by the way always wide open) sitting in the armchair dont think nothing just enjoing the view.

Crue's definitely back! Missed me?
It was a fine, relaxing holiday, although I must admit that I was a little sad the day when Rasmussen was thrown out of TdF. Actually, an interview with him will be shown on a Danish channel later today. |

yes i was a little sad also, as him going to Mexico actually had nothing to do with him in the Tour, and they had no proof when the team withdrew him, he was going really well, and would've won for certain (well almost certain)

not one to burst in or anything, but we really do have a thread for this, so I'll just say this:
if he has been in Mexico, all he has to do is show his passport. if there's no Mexican stamp, only two possibilities:
1. he wasn't there as he says he was
2. he got in illegally.
anyway, back on topic.
welcome back!
trust you enjoyed the nice place our muslim friends have over there?
