Pretty decent course for Lapeira here should be another nice go at a top 10 though again, the Grimay and Ovsy show will go on, and they're going to be very hard to beat can see Sprint playing a good part in the outcome too the likes of Stewart and Lapeira even Nomella again will probably overperform a lot of the higher cobbled stats, Stewart is my sneaky play, if i was betting in this course really suits him |

I'll be happy with a podium finish and okay with a Top 5. It's acceptable to get beaten by Per or Ovsyannikov, and some random guy can always sneak in there, especially if it's a sprint from a larger group. But worse would be a significant disappointment. This isn't a goal race, though, so it can't be as much of a disappointment as OHN at least Wouldn't mind a second win either, of course
Would be cool for De Buyst to remain in the front group to be a lead-out for Bini. Expecting Habimana to score a few points, too.
Thanks for the preview Laurens, and good luck everyone!

Something similar to OHN and KBK will do very well.
Thanks for the preview Laurens!

Way to long ago since I selected HC bands, but looking at the startlist and how Rutsch has done til now I can't help but think I should've been here
Like jt I really believe in Stewart, like I told Fab before the season he looked really good when I raced testraces. Same with Lapeira. Other than that Ovy vs Girmay?

Expecting another top 20 from Owen. And perhaps some early activity from Rubenis or Yechezkel.
Thanks for the preview Laurens.

Definitely hoping for Stewart to do well on this rather bumpy course (including an uphill sprint finish). Winning vs. Ovsya and Bini is very unlikely, and even a Top 5 would be a great success. I'll take any Top 10 here and would obviously be happy with an even better result
Hopefully Sommer can add some depth points, but that will depend a lot on the race dynamics.
Thanks for the preview, good luck to all!

Another chance for Schreurs to teach Kuroeda a lesson. Hope he can keep up the score.

Always look forward to these fun reports, especially when I'm not here.
Outside rooting for another crazy sprint battle between Ovy and Bini OR to see another outside victory like last year's by Trans Looney Tunes. As long as folks make this interesting, I support it!

Spengler keeps beating expectations, so fingers crossed he again can pull of a solid result. Same for Kuroeda. I don't need to be splashy, i'm happy with solid consistent points and continuing to build a foundation for safety.

Time for Gamper to step up, his season start was very poor.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

When can we have a non-cobblestone race?

When you're that close to a win, it always stings a little bit, but overall, 2nd behind Per is really good. Habimana in the points, too, and some strong domestique work, it seems.
Quite some surprises beyond the Top 2. Very strong showings by Stewart and especially Hesters, and slightly disappointing by Ovsyannikov, and Gamper, too.
Lovely report as always kb, thank you!

Stellar signing!
I was expecting Owen to be a bit closer to Wisniowski here in Samyn, but I guess Owen flew too close to the sun.
Nevertheless, a decent result
Thanks for the report KB.

Congrats to tastasol on the win and thank you kb for the race. Glad to see Jacobs starting to crack the top 5 after a pretty mediocre start to his classics campaign. Would have liked to see how it would have gone with Rutsch here as its been fun to follow the two similar riders.

Fantastic result by Stewart!
Was already disappointed when I couldn't see him in any of the final pics - although later on I realized he probably was 6th with 200m or so left, could just spot his front wheel. Great burst of speed in the end, exactly what I was hoping for He's reached his expected score with just Cheshire and Samyn now, but those were arguably two of his four most promising races this year. Nice to see it worked out far better than last year
Kudos to Sommer as well, he was still with Stewart with 15km left; great protection definitely helped the latter to have energy left for the sprint. 5 more points for him, as he's almost up to his expected points, too - nice to see our supposedly most shaky department delivering
And obviously congrats to Grieg on another win, crucial month for them for sure!
Last but not least, thanks to kb for the report!

For a while, Lampawog looked good for another Top 10 but ran out of legs in the end it seems. Could've just sent Scotson to Olympia in hindsight but easier to say such things in hindsight.
Congrats to Tasta and thanks for the report kb!
