Well, first of all, if you want to start a career, wait for the V2. If you're just out for some quick fun, read the included Installation.txt file and come back if you still have problems |

The V1 isn't very suitable for career. There's some problems with future sponsor goals. Also, it was released in mid-December. A lot has happened since then
The V2 is due for late-January - start-February. |

Is there any news yet on the release date of V2? Its entering late january now so just thought i'd see if anyone could make an educated guess of the likely date or week.
Sorry to keep going but i need my fix I was really in the mood to start a new career last week when you told me to hang on till V2. Now my disk is calling out to me like a siren everytime i walk past it next to my computer!!! |

The 2nd beta will be released tomorrow, so it's going forward as planned. It seems unlikely that it will be released this month, though. |

January, yes. Sorry for not being clear about that
As said, we're going into the 2nd beta phase tomorrow. If the DB works out well, it's basically just a question of when we want to release it. The longer we wait, the more 2009 stuff in the DB.
However, since we've planned a V3, we can 'afford' releasing it earlier (that being start of February).
Anyway, let's see how the test turns out. |

so now theres a V3!!! It's like laptops, you buy a new one and it's outdated in a months time Will the V3 be a patch that can be added to the V2? i don't want to have to keep downloading and starting new careers every month with the new databases if i can help it. sorry if it's a stupid question, i have a very limited knowledge of computers. |

You decide if you want to install the V3 - that's not up to us to decide. A V3 has been planned all along (read the 1st announcement), and it will contain whatever the V2's missing.
E.g., not all teams have presented their jerseys by start-February, therefore they are impossible to implent. However, they'll then be in the V3 instead.
That said, V2 will be a quality release. |

The release date is the same that we've been saying all along: end January, start February.
The beta testing has been a bit up and down. Some beta testers have experienced a crash on one particular date while others didn't experience it at all (myself included). Other than that, it's going well. |
