My story is about the 2009 Astana team and their goals
I choose Astana as they will be good in the grand tours, but then I do not expect anything in the Classics.
My team goals are all achievable, especially third place in the Giro, while as I will be entering Lance in the Giro and Alberto in the tour, Levi will have the Vuelta. So I don't know whether I will manage to achive that goal
My riders show that I obviously have three leaders. My fourth best rider Andreas will support Levi as I feel he will need the most support, and Lance will recieve the least as he does not need to achieve such a high position.
The most famous rider, old Lance. He will enter the TDU, Giro, TOI and if fit enough TDF.
Alberto the Spanish magician, his main aim is the Tour but the other Spanish tours may have him entered in, also he may go to the Vuelta as a domestique.
Even though Levi has the same overall average he is slighty better in timetrials that means he isnt quiete as good on the mountains. He will do the Vuelta and other Tours that involve at least one time trial.
To start the season all rider are going to Monaco

Why is it more yawn?
In the Grand Tours I will be fighting for podium places
In the classics will compete for low places
And you will find it is the first Astana story

It's nothing to do with being the first. Astana are just boring. Winning isn't everything.

Winning isn't everything but I am probably the worst player ever

Go on, do not stop
MY decision is that it's funnier to play with smaller team, but that takes time, and this is looking good |

It can become nasty with 2leaders in a GT. For example if Contador will help Levi in Vuelta his morale will be affected

I like it, and it is definately true that you can just walk and the Grand Tours, I think you will get problems with especially the Giro, but we'll see. Hopefully I'm wrong |

I actually think going a big team brings a new dynamic to a story, as the sponsors expect a lot of wins - and its not always easy to provide if your getting the big name riders in shape for the GTs.
Good luck Gutierrez! |

I think you should make one of them ride in support of Kloden.
Good Luck with the story. |

The first races of the season are the Australian National Championships
So the likes of Cadel Evans, Michael Rogers and Stuart O'Grady will fight to wear the Australian champion's national bands
So first the ITT
No shock with ex-world champion Michael Rogers taking it by 18 seconds
The RR was more of a shock with an relatively unknown rider winning
The best placed well known rider was Stuart O'Grady in 7th
Karl Menzies
*Please note I had no riders in this race
