Back with this idea. Editing the PCM15 save didn't work out the way I thought it would so I will start over with a new game. Haven't really played a later version since 15, so expect some time to get accustomed with everything.
On the team (both choice and roster): I have always wanted to build one with a focus on Eastern Europe and the Baltic states, hence the addition of LMT (from Latvia) and Polar (from Finland). The team itself does not have a star, not even for the continental level. Many among the young riders have generic stats, yet most of them seem to show at least a hint of potential.
Let's get started.

Spent quite some days in Croatia for our first couple of races. With no clear leader for any kind of race, we were more than happy to see Boros make the top 10 in both Umag and the slightly hillier race around Porec.
Sticking around for the Istrian Spring Trophy as well, he could not be too happy with how the prologue went. Michael lacks an acceleration to do better than he did on the punchy finishes yet he came home in group 1 twice. Overperforming on the final day made him move up on spot to conclude in 24th overall.

Thanks, not too unhappy with the one day races in the end.
Still finding my way around the new gameplay. Already looking forward to season two with new signings though. |

None of our riders made it over the four longer climbs except for Boros. He too missed the decisive move and did not have much left for the sprint either. |

Some interesting results for sure on Greece's fourth largest island. After Lukáš Kubiš' 9th place in the GP, we started the stage race with a day in the break for Matěj Zahálka.
He outclassed his companions on the climbs, moved into the KoM jersey and sat 5th overall thanks to the bonus seconds. Him and Toupalik finished in the third group on the hillier second stage. They came home with the best on the last day to conclude in the same time in GC 13th and 16th respectively.
Matěj did secure our first (mountain) jersey. |

Cool story to follow. The roster and the results seem pretty realistic to me. The trio Boros, Toupalik and Kubis should bring you a win sooner or later.
All the best!

I have a very soft spot for stories of Eastern Europe. Actually, it's not entirely true, I have a soft spot for many stories due to me being a globetrotter when it comes to long-term careers. I like your story and I would follow it with interest, although I must admit Elkov, in general, and Lukas Kubis, in particular, angered me during a couple of races in my current career. I like your photos too and although I know the first season is a pain in the ... I am certain things will get better for you in the second season.
P.S. You inspired me. I am thinking for some time of a story of my own, but now reading yours I might finally kickstart myself.

Thank you both for your message!
Very nice to hear that some like to follow and others even get inspiration from reading this. Can't wait to get trough season 1 indeed due this whole team being quite underrated, especially Kubis. With me still adapting to the mechanics of the latest games, we could definitely also miss out on the general non-sponsor goal of winning 4 races. |

TotalEnergies showed up with a very strong lineup for one of the longest races on the continental calendar. Their leader Latour put an interesting amount of time into all other riders bar Brozyna, who only lost 4 seconds. Our best rider Boros finished 51 seconds slower than the former French TT champion.
Obdržálek moved into the white mountain jersey after stage two. Youngster Quaranta and veteran Reguigui both won two stages while Boros started to chip away at his deficit with seconds won at intermediate sprints.
Several riders of the top 15 finished behind gaps at some point, most notably GC leader Latour on the sixth stage. Piotr Brozyna landed his second overall win of the year after Rhodes. Boros finished 13th and Obdržálek added our second KoM jersey. |

Going for another KoM jersey was our first thought in the northeast of France. Obdrzalek couldn't take enough points on the first day but bonus seconds did put him in fourth overall after good old Timothy Dupont won the bunch sprint.
Obdrzalek dropped down the standings after the second stage. Matěj Zahálka took over after coming third only just behind Dupont again. More bonus seconds made Matěj move up to GC third after the third stage that was narrowly won by Mathieu Burgaudeau. He eventually secured his third place with - you guessed it - more bonus seconds. Dupont won both the last stage and the general classification.
Worth mentioning too is Boroš coming fourth on the third, fourth day and 11th overall. |
