Tres Bien, lets get zé show on zé way
Also once there is a good 09 db and I could somehow find someone who is so smart that he can take the stats from my personal db and put them in the 09 db I will probably start a 2nd story then

Either him or Gonzalo, depends on the form and on how the race will develop

Squad: Ista, Ravard, Lequatre, Hervé, Gonzalo, Jalabert and Vogondy
We bring a strong squad with several guys who should be able to do well today, in the break we have the Spaniard Eduardo Gonzalo
Gonzalo and Guillou up front in the break
However the never really got lots of space and so we get ready for a sprint and on the downhill section Ista makes sure he is up front in order to launch Ravard...but where is Ravard?
Ista up front but where are his teammates?
Ista doesnt look behind him and starts to sprint, not knowing that Ravard isnt behind him but then...!
There comes Ravard on the left side of the road!
But there is still come competition left
Ista loses speed while Ravard passes him but there comes Gutierrez!
Ravard is the only sprinter here so he should win but the hills have worn him down
Still he's almost there!
Merde!

and we´re back
time for the Etoile de Besseges
Stage 1/5:
Squad: Casper, Lequatre, Gaztanaga, Sinner, Salmon, Rinero, Jalabert, Hervé
The first stage is an easy one and the perfect opportunity for our very own Jimmy Casper to take the lead. His main rivals here in France are likely to be Nazon, Chavanel and Bonnet. However as usual there is a break of the day even thought it wouldn't stand a chance today on this stage which was as flat as a pancake.
Today's break riding in sun
But it would eventually lead up to a mass sprint, Casper was positioned well and was watching CHavanel and Nazon well...but then out of nowhere it's a non frenchie who takes the win!
Ongarato takes the surprising win while Casper ends 2nd!
Result:
01. Alberto Ongarato Team Milram 3h03'50
02. Jimmy Casper Agritubel s.t.
03. Kenny Van Hummel Skil - Shimano s.t.
04. Jean-Patrick Nazon AG2R La Mondiale s.t.
05. Aitor Galdos Euskaltel - Euskadi s.t.
06. Sébastien Chavanel Française des Jeux s.t.
07. William Bonnet Crédit Agricole s.t.
08. Geoffroy Lequatre Agritubel s.t.
09. Mathieu Drujon Caisse d'Epargne s.t.
10. Yusuke Hatanaka Skil - Shimano s.t.
Stage 2/5:
A slightly more difficult stage, but again a stage for the sprinters as all breaks were caught early on. However Casper fails to get the right wheel and so he has to come from far. Up front Ongarato seems to surprise yet again!
Ongarato on his way to another win here in France?
In the end it's close but the Italian just edges out Samuel Dumoulin to win the 2nd stage aswell and strengthen his lead in the GC
That's numero deux for mr. Ongarato
Result:
01. Alberto Ongarato Team Milram 2h26'06
02. Samuel Dumoulin Cofidis, Le Crédit par Téléphone s.t.
03. Sébastien Chavanel Française des Jeux s.t.
04. Jérémie Galland Auber 93 s.t.
05. Jimmy Casper Agritubel s.t.
06. Gorik Gardeyn Silence - Lotto s.t.
07. Geoffroy Lequatre Agritubel s.t.
08. Kenny Van Hummel Skil - Shimano s.t.
09. Mathieu Drujon Caisse d'Epargne s.t.
10. Nicolas Jalabert Agritubel s.t.
GC with 3 stages to go:
01. Alberto Ongarato Team Milram 5h29'16
02. Samuel Dumoulin Cofidis, Le Crédit par Téléphone + 28
03. Jimmy Casper Agritubel s.t.
04. Sébastien Chavanel Française des Jeux + 32
05. Kenny Van Hummel Skil - Shimano s.t.

Stage 3/5
Squad: Casper, Lequatre, Gaztanaga, Sinner, Salmon, Rinero, Jalabert, Hervé
Eh guys seeing as this stage is in I dont think Casper stands a chance in the GC However we have some other guys who are more suited for this kind of stage, just to name a few we have Jalabert and Lequatre as our leaders here while the oldies Rinero and Salmon can also try to do something here. First there is the early break but we decide not to send anyone along
The early break led by Roy Curvers
And we were smart in doing so because on the last set of small climbs lots and lots of riders attack but our leader Lequatre waits until the final climb, and when the men have been seperated from the boys he attacks and goes after Gilbert who has been riding up front solo for about 10 kms then, but he is not the only one!
Gilbert being chased down and joined by Lequatre and 4 others
And with 5 kms to go they get at ease and start the waiting game
Lequatre and Gilbert up front, behind them are Jerome, Lelarge, Nose and Talabardon!
Seeing as Lequatre is a decent sprinter who has even gotten some good results in mass sprints in the past he wants everything to stay together and it does so, Gilbert tries to surprise him but in the end Lequatre makes sure that no strange things happen and so the best sprinter in the group wins!
And that is Geoffroy Lequatre!
Result:
01. Geoffroy Lequatre Agritubel 3h31'28
02. Philippe Gilbert Française des Jeux s.t.
03. Vincent Jérôme Bouygues Télécom s.t.
04. Tomasz Nose Adria Mobil s.t.
05. Noan Lelarge Bretagne - Armor Lux s.t.
06. Yannick Talabardon Crédit Agricole s.t.
07. Oliver Zaugg Gerolsteiner + 32
08. Jérôme Pineau Bouygues Télécom s.t.
09. Stéphane Goubert AG2R La Mondiale s.t.
10. Mario Aerts Silence - Lotto s.t.
Peloton at + 1'30
GC with 2 (flat) stages to go:
01. Geoffroy Lequatre Agritubel 9h01'04
02. Philippe Gilbert Française des Jeux + 8
03. Noan Lelarge Bretagne - Armor Lux + 14
04. Yannick Talabardon Crédit Agricole + 20
05. Tomasz Nose Adria Mobil s.t.

Stage 4/5:
Squad: Casper, Lequatre, Gaztanaga, Sinner, Salmon, Rinero, Jalabert, Hervé
Bah, a boring stage in which we controlled everything in order to secure Lequatre's lead, it all led to a bunchsprint but someone surprised all sprinters by attacking near the end and eventually making it!
It's Nick Nuyens winning the stage in front of Galdos!
Result:
01. Nick Nuyens Cofidis, Le Crédit par Téléphone 2h50'21
02. Aitor Galdos Euskaltel - Euskadi s.t.
03. Maxime Vantomme Mitsubishi - Jartazi - Protech s.t.
04. Jean-Patrick Nazon AG2R La Mondiale s.t.
05. Sébastien Chavanel Française des Jeux s.t.
06. Kenny Van Hummel Skil - Shimano s.t.
07. Samuel Dumoulin Cofidis, Le Crédit par Téléphone s.t.
08. Jimmy Casper Agritubel s.t.
09. Marlon Pérez Arango Caisse d'Epargne s.t.
10. Arnaud Coyot Caisse d'Epargne s.t.
Stage 5/5:
Traditionally the final stage of any stage race is supposed to end in a bunchsprint, that was also going to happen today however not everyone was going to be involved in that bunchsprint!
The wind causes the pack to split!
Some Agritubel riders were caught off guard, however Jalabert and most importantly Lequatre were up front together with Casper who still managed to hang on but since he was nearly dead he was of no use in the final bunchsprint, meanwhile we took it easy with Lequatre and with nearly all the sprinters being in the 2nd group it was a weird sprint with many guys up front who you wouldn't expect up there in a stage like this, the guy who took the most advantage of the situation was Filip Meirhaeghe!
Meirhaeghe wins the final stage!
Result:
01. Filip Meirhaeghe Landbouwkrediet - Tönissteiner 2h06'52
02. Morgan Chedhomme Auber 93 s.t.
03. Steve Chainel Auber 93 s.t.
04. Hubert Dupont AG2R La Mondiale s.t.
05. Nico Sijmens Landbouwkrediet - Tönissteiner s.t.
06. Stéphane Goubert AG2R La Mondiale s.t.
07. Tony Gallopin Auber 93 s.t.
08. Samuel Dumoulin Cofidis, Le Crédit par Téléphone s.t.
09. Markel Irizar Euskaltel - Euskadi s.t.
10. Iván Velasco Euskaltel - Euskadi s.t.
And so Lequatre wins the Etoile de Besseges! Because of that last stage some guys dropped out of the top 10 meaning that Casper makes a jump from the 18th place to the 8th place!
FINAL GC:
01. Geoffroy Lequatre Agritubel 13h58'17
02. Samuel Dumoulin Cofidis, Le Crédit par Téléphone + 40
03. Jérémie Galland Auber 93 + 52
04. Filip Meirhaeghe Landbouwkrediet - Tönissteiner + 1'30
05. Philippe Gilbert Française des Jeux s.t.
06. Aitor Galdos Euskaltel - Euskadi + 1'32
07. Morgan Chedhomme Auber 93 + 1'38
08. Jimmy Casper Agritubel s.t.
09. Steve Chainel Auber 93 + 1'42
10. Sébastien Chavanel Française des Jeux s.t.
