The CQRanking has published a yearbook containing a lot of statistics about 2008. There's lots of interesting stuff for those who care about this stuff.

Interestin' stuff! I can't imagine riding 298km, let alone race it. That's an insane distance.

Volksbank got a new sponsor a few days ago (Voralsberg or something like that), but that doesn't mean it's going well in Austria: The Österreich Rundfahrt may be cancelled. Until now, the Austrian Cycling Federation has financed it, but now, they'll have to find sponsors to pay for the event. Likely? Not really |

Sella was caught in an out of competition test after the Giro, so his Giro results will stand

And herein lies one of cycling's most incomprehensible rulings. |

Wow those stats were interesting. I very much enjoyed seeing some unknown names mixed in the rankings with most Stage Races completions etc. Thanks for those. |

What makes it incomprehensible? You haven't proved that he was doped during the Giro (although it's, of course, very likely), therefore his results stand. |

Will they retest his Giro samples? |

Nope. No Giro tests will be retested, although they would probably result in a lot more positive CERA tests. |

When asked about his plans for competing in the 2009 Tour de France, the seven-time Tour champion remained undecided. "I don't think it's a green light or a red light," said Armstrong. "There's no deadline [for a decision]. We're going to look at the season and [look at] two things: first, my international cancer plan and second, my season and preparation."

I have to say, at first i was a bit concerned about his return. But it does seem that he is returning for the correct reasons.
"first, my international cancer plan"
Im happy about that quote |

Oh, come on. Anyone who has read just a litle bit about Armstrong knows that he's very self-centered. He loves to see himself in the spotlight - I mean, he even set his Blackberry up to notify him every time his name is mentioned in the media.
Yeah, sure, his cancer-thing is one of ther easons, but I'm pretty sure that his main reason for coming back is related to him wanting to be back in spotlight. |

Well, its hard to tell. If he does come back he's not going to be the best. Hes has changed a lot, opening up a bike shop focusing on his family. I dont think it is fair to judge him from what has been seen from comeback presentations and what he was like back in the day. |
