Let's look at all participating teams in detail:
Air New Zealand p/b Pirelli CT
Last name | First name | Country | Age | HIL | TT | RES | SPR | Costagli | Teodoro | ITA | 34 | 69 | 68 | 68 | 50 | Diaz | Daniel Ricardo | ARG | 33 | 69 | 71 | 71 | 60 | Gunman | Taylor | NZL | 31 | 75 | 70 | 68 | 70 | Horvat | Ziga | SLO | 24 | 66 | 56 | 73 | 67 | Nolf | Frederik | BEL | 35 | 62 | 60 | 66 | 59 | Reddish | Nick | NZL | 26 | 67 | 66 | 75 | 71 | Shalunov | Evgeny | RUS | 30 | 69 | 70 | 71 | 64 | Vink | Michael | NZL | 31 | 75 | 69 | 71 | 64 |
First team in this preview is Air New Zealand p/b Pirelli. They will be looking for an attacking style, as they don't have a clear leader here.
Maybe Gunman or Vink can do something from the break.
Assa Abloy PCT
Last name | First name | Country | Age | HIL | TT | RES | SPR | Bergstrom Frisk | Hannes | SWD | 27 | 68 | 71 | 71 | 55 | Bergstrom Frisk | Erik | SWD | 23 | 65 | 61 | 67 | 60 | Gesbert | Elie | FRA | 27 | 78 | 64 | 78 | 68 | Gonzalez Salas | Mario | ESP | 30 | 60 | 80 | 76 | 61 | Kvist | Linus | SWD | 23 | 71 | 64 | 69 | 67 | Mosca | Jacopo | ITA | 29 | 75 | 63 | 75 | 65 | Paillot | Yoann | FRA | 31 | 71 | 80 | 74 | 63 | Veyhe | Torkil | FAR | 28 | 68 | 65 | 71 | 56 |
Assa Abloy brings a former winner (2020) Yoann Paillot into this race.
They have another great TT'er with Mario Gonzalez, but his hilly capacities aren't nearly as good as Paillot.
Bianchi - Panerai CT
Last name | First name | Country | Age | HIL | TT | RES | SPR | Bayer | Tobias | AUT | 23 | 68 | 66 | 68 | 67 | Colleoni | Kevin | ITA | 23 | 68 | 65 | 68 | 64 | Eggenberg | Ruben | SWI | 22 | 65 | 66 | 68 | 63 | Irgens Jensen | Frederik | DEN | 23 | 58 | 68 | 68 | 65 | Mulubrhan | Henok | ERI | 23 | 68 | 65 | 68 | 66 | Navardauskas | Ramunas | LTU | 34 | 72 | 73 | 69 | 72 |
Bianchi - Panerai bring a young core to their first appearance in ToB, completed with Ramunas Navardaukas.
They can gain some experience for the coming season, breakaways should be their goal.
Binance PCT
Last name | First name | Country | Age | HIL | TT | RES | SPR | Goncalves | Gaspar | POR | 27 | 75 | 56 | 70 | 68 | Ikibe | Sota | JPN | 30 | 73 | 70 | 70 | 62 | Kaczmarek | Jakub | POL | 29 | 75 | 75 | 75 | 63 | Lienhard | Fabian | SWI | 28 | 75 | 66 | 72 | 73 | Oliveira | Rui | POR | 26 | 76 | 70 | 72 | 75 | Palyi | Csaba | HUN | 32 | 71 | 73 | 73 | 72 | Paulinho | Pedro Miguel | POR | 32 | 80 | 64 | 72 | 68 | Thill | Tom | LUX | 32 | 73 | 74 | 73 | 62 |
Binance has a stacked team for the last three hilly days of this race, with Paulinho being the best of this pack.
It remains to be seen how much he trails after the time trial in Leicester. Kaczmarek could take over his roll if needed.
Bordeaux Métropole - Euskotren CT
Last name | First name | Country | Age | HIL | TT | RES | SPR | Brun | Nils | SWI | 22 | 68 | 59 | 67 | 62 | Doubey | Fabien | FRA | 29 | 75 | 59 | 72 | 67 | Martin | David | ESP | 22 | 66 | 58 | 65 | 66 | Mottin | Hugues | FRA | 34 | 59 | 77 | 71 | 50 | Pacher | Quentin | FRA | 30 | 75 | 61 | 74 | 70 | Petrucci | Mattia | ITA | 22 | 66 | 57 | 64 | 61 | Rodriguez | Cristian | ESP | 27 | 76 | 67 | 70 | 65 | Wackermann | Luca | ITA | 30 | 74 | 53 | 74 | 74 |
Bordeaux Métropole - Euskotren will be looking to good old Hugues Mottin for a good result in the TT.
The French team can ride agressively with several good riders in their roster to finish a potential breakaway.
Bralirwa - Stevens PCT
Last name | First name | Country | Age | HIL | TT | RES | SPR | Cobo | Ivan | ESP | 22 | 66 | 60 | 65 | 62 | El Sabbahi | Houcaine | MOR | 25 | 69 | 64 | 74 | 76 | Hadi | Janvier | RWA | 30 | 72 | 74 | 70 | 74 | Melki | Aziz | TUN | 23 | 68 | 62 | 69 | 61 | Mugisha | Samuel | RWA | 25 | 69 | 72 | 72 | 62 | Nsengiyumva | Shemu | RWA | 23 | 63 | 62 | 68 | 61 | Uhiriwe | Renus | RWA | 21 | 66 | 68 | 67 | 63 | Uwizeyimana | Bonaventure | RWA | 29 | 72 | 74 | 75 | 56 |
Bralirwa - Stevens chose for a young African core to participate here.
Maybe Houcaine El Sabbahi can surprise in the first sprint or they can try their luck in the breakaway.
BWT Hyundai N Cycling CT
Last name | First name | Country | Age | HIL | TT | RES | SPR | De Luna | Flavio | MEX | 32 | 71 | 75 | 72 | 56 | Losch | Max | LUX | 29 | 65 | 62 | 68 | 78 | Paprstka | Tomas | CZE | 30 | 69 | 62 | 70 | 70 | Richardson | Chequan | BER | 29 | 67 | 63 | 68 | 60 | Robov | Momchil | BUL | 29 | 76 | 66 | 73 | 69 | Vine | Jay | AUS | 27 | 69 | 64 | 73 | 66 |
Max Losch of BWT Hyundai will have an eye on the opening sprint stage in Stoke-on-Trent.
Apart from that, they will be looking for attacks as most CT teams here.
Caja Rural Cycling Team CT
Last name | First name | Country | Age | HIL | TT | RES | SPR | Azparren | Xabier Mikel | ESP | 23 | 63 | 70 | 65 | 62 | Barbero | Carlos | ESP | 31 | 75 | 64 | 72 | 70 | Barcelo | Fernando | ESP | 26 | 73 | 66 | 72 | 67 | Declerq | Tim | BEL | 33 | 72 | 67 | 69 | 66 | Domene | Ramon | ESP | 32 | 57 | 57 | 68 | 74 | Intxausti | Benat | ESP | 36 | 64 | 70 | 68 | 55 |
I hope Tim Declerq speaks some Spanish, otherwise he will have a challenging five days among his Spanish teammates.
Declerq, Barbero and Barcelo are the best picks for them to join a breakaway.
Carlsberg - Danske Bank PCT
Last name | First name | Country | Age | HIL | TT | RES | SPR | Asgreen | Kasper | DEN | 27 | 77 | 68 | 69 | 64 | Belevics | Arturs | LAT | 26 | 64 | 78 | 72 | 63 | Eg | Niklas | DEN | 27 | 71 | 74 | 74 | 60 | Girmay | Biniam | ERI | 22 | 70 | 61 | 73 | 71 | Jensen | Kristian Haugaard | DEN | 31 | 80 | 67 | 73 | 66 | Kämna | Lennard | GER | 26 | 71 | 78 | 73 | 63 | Skjelmose Jensen | Mattias | DEN | 22 | 69 | 69 | 72 | 64 | Trentin | Matteo | ITA | 33 | 73 | 60 | 69 | 74 |
Carlsberg - Danske Bank selected four riders who could score here. First up are Belevics and Kämna in the TT in Leicester.
The last three days, the focus will shift to Kristian Jensen and Kasper Asgreen. Or maybe Kämna can surprise to retain after a good TT?
Cedevita PCT
Last name | First name | Country | Age | HIL | TT | RES | SPR | Ardila | Andres Camilo | COL | 23 | 75 | 67 | 68 | 62 | Beltran | Eduard Alexander | COL | 32 | 81 | 66 | 72 | 66 | Gaudu | David | FRA | 26 | 78 | 66 | 75 | 68 | Jarc | Aljaz | SLO | 23 | 66 | 63 | 68 | 67 | McCormick | Hayden | NZL | 28 | 76 | 65 | 71 | 73 | Pavlic | Marko | SLO | 29 | 72 | 72 | 73 | 68 | Roman | Aleksandar | SER | 26 | 75 | 64 | 73 | 63 | Zariff | Nur Aiman | MAS | 25 | 60 | 60 | 65 | 78 |
Nur Zariff is the first trump card for Cedevita in the opening stage.
Eduard Beltran will be focussing on the final three stages in Britain, the main question is if he can limit his losses in Leicester.
Eddie Stobart CT
Last name | First name | Country | Age | HIL | TT | RES | SPR | Bogdanovics | Maris | LAT | 31 | 62 | 63 | 69 | 78 | Cimolai | Davide | ITA | 33 | 65 | 56 | 66 | 76 | De Tier | Floris | BEL | 30 | 75 | 63 | 72 | 63 | Hugentobler | Gregory | SWI | 31 | 78 | 58 | 69 | 56 | Meyer | Travis | AUS | 33 | 78 | 68 | 69 | 71 | Pushpakumara | Gihan | SRI | 32 | 74 | 56 | 75 | 70 | Taillefour | Fabien | FRA | 34 | 55 | 63 | 67 | 52 | Umerbekov | Nikita | KAZ | 31 | 76 | 63 | 67 | 70 |
The continental team Eddie Stobart have a competitive team here, first with Maris Bogdanovics for the sprint in Stoke-on-Trent.
Gregory Hugentobler and Travis Meyer could do well in the hilly stages on day 3, 4 and 5.
Gjensidige Pro Cycling Team PCT

Gjensidige has brought their local leader Odd Christian Eiking to Britain. He has the same challenge as Beltran, surviving the TT will be the biggest challenge.
Skjerping, Roson and Ziesler will provide the main help throughout the hills.
Indosat Ooredoo PCT

Eddie Dunbar is leading the Indosat Ooredoo team. His hybrid profile should suit for this race and he is racing close to home soil.
Bambang Suryadi is the main option for the sprint in the first stage.

Ian Boswell is another hills specialist here. The American needs to be agressive in the last three days to make up for the TT.
Maybe Kevin Feiereisen could do well in the sprint.

Last name | First name | Country | Age | HIL | TT | RES | SPR | Brown | Nathan | USA | 31 | 73 | 76 | 73 | 58 | Coppel | Jerome | FRA | 36 | 69 | 76 | 68 | 58 | Dennis | Rohan | AUS | 32 | 75 | 78 | 75 | 65 | Hodeg | Alvaro | COL | 26 | 65 | 67 | 74 | 79 | Marcos | Leandro | CUB | 31 | 73 | 63 | 65 | 65 | Rosas | Laureano | ARG | 32 | 65 | 75 | 70 | 70 | Stöckli | Jan | SWI | 22 | 68 | 60 | 66 | 59 | Stuyven | Jasper | BEL | 30 | 77 | 58 | 67 | 66 |
Minions have brought their sprinter Alvaro Hodeg for the opening day.
Then there are four good TT'ers with Brown, Coppel, Dennis and Rosas. Dennis should be the leader with his ability to go over the British hills.

Michael Valgren Andersen has his eye on the TT in Leicester.
Apart from that, Oktal Pharma could race for breakaways with Le Gac and Sakalou being their best riders suited for this work.
Podium Ambition CT
Last name | First name | Country | Age | HIL | TT | RES | SPR | Gonzalez | Abner | PUR | 22 | 67 | 60 | 68 | 63 | Kelly | Jacob | BAR | 23 | 68 | 68 | 69 | 68 | Le Court | Kim | MRI | 26 | 76 | 60 | 70 | 64 | Molina Pagan | Luis | PUR | 23 | 66 | 68 | 64 | 68 | Orosco | Kemp | TRI | 23 | 68 | 65 | 64 | 63 | Redy | Dylan | MRI | 23 | 69 | 66 | 67 | 68 | Richardson | Zambezi | AIA | 23 | 67 | 60 | 69 | 66 | White | Connor | BER | 23 | 68 | 67 | 68 | 67 |
Podium Ambition has a very young team here, with 7 riders under 23.
Kim Le Court is their best rider, maybe he can look for a breakaway in the last three stages.
Strava PCT
Last name | First name | Country | Age | HIL | TT | RES | SPR | Colbrelli | Sonny | ITA | 32 | 61 | 60 | 72 | 79 | Felline | Fabio | ITA | 32 | 77 | 64 | 73 | 74 | Gaday | Lucas Manuel | ARG | 29 | 75 | 65 | 72 | 71 | Kreder | Wesley | NED | 32 | 75 | 63 | 71 | 77 | Maesen | William | BEL | 31 | 72 | 61 | 73 | 50 | Owen | Logan | USA | 27 | 69 | 62 | 71 | 64 | Poljanski | Pawel | POL | 32 | 77 | 67 | 70 | 61 |
Strava brought a balanced team for this Tour of Britain. Sonny Colbrelli and Wesley Kreder should be a good combo for the first stage.
After the TT, they can focus on the experience of Fabio Felline and Pawel Poljanski to score.
Tafjord Kraft CT
Last name | First name | Country | Age | HIL | TT | RES | SPR | Andersson | Emil | SWD | 29 | 63 | 60 | 73 | 76 | Blikra | Havard | NOR | 31 | 75 | 65 | 70 | 62 | Eislers | Sandis | LAT | 29 | 72 | 60 | 68 | 76 | Hagen | Edvald Boasson | NOR | 35 | 81 | 68 | 68 | 69 | Hoem | Bjorn Tore | NOR | 31 | 72 | 67 | 69 | 58 | Ludvigsson | Fredrik | SWD | 28 | 76 | 69 | 70 | 67 | Paulus | Daniel | AUT | 29 | 77 | 64 | 68 | 62 | Pruus | Peter | EST | 33 | 71 | 72 | 71 | 68 |
Just like Strava, Tafjord Kraft has an interesting combo in Emil Andersson and Sandis Eislers for the sprint in Stoke-on-Trent.
Edvald Boasson Hagen is a big threat for stage 3 till 5. Although there is great competition in that department.
Trans Looney Tunes PCT
Last name | First name | Country | Age | HIL | TT | RES | SPR | Bystrom | Sven Erik | NOR | 30 | 79 | 61 | 72 | 68 | Cuming | Michael | GBR | 32 | 74 | 72 | 70 | 64 | Ghyselinck | Jan | BEL | 34 | 66 | 75 | 74 | 62 | Iino | Tomoyuki | JPN | 33 | 72 | 67 | 70 | 58 | Jang | Gyung Gu | KOR | 32 | 76 | 62 | 70 | 66 | Korosec | Rok | SLO | 29 | 75 | 68 | 71 | 75 | Senyenov | Roman | KAZ | 29 | 77 | 63 | 73 | 68 | Waeytens | Zico | BEL | 31 | 80 | 65 | 70 | 66 |
Trans Looney Tunes is the last team in this preview. They have a great lineup for the hilly stages, with Zico Waeytens and Sven Erik Bystrom leading.
A stage win should be their first priority.

Good luck to all participants!

Dennis won in Norway and Britain is quite similar. This might be our make-or-break race in terms of the promotion spots. Thanks for the preview!

Huge race for us, especially after Howard has decided to retire a year early this season. Eddie has been terrific this season and has finished 4th and 3rd here the last two seasons - hopefully this upward trend can continue this season
A top-5 is the absolute minimum here. The usual suspects are here, fingers crossed Eddie doesn’t have a bad day and rides well.
Thanks for the preview!

Hoping for a good GC result from Paillot, but his results this year doesn’t fill me with confidence. Have to hope he has one of his good days on the TT and that the hill stages won’t be particularly selective.
Thanks for the preview!

Big race for us, if we are going to finish strong this is our chance to put a lot of points on the board. Got Warbasse if it proves more balanced and Boswell if the hills prove decisive. Big worry is how the AI balances the dual leadership. Maybe Feiereisen can contest the win on Stage 1.
Dunbar and Dennis seem like the big favorites for the overall but would love to put a rider in the top 5.
Thanks for the great preview.

I would be a little more confident here if this race wasn't earily similar to Hong Kong where Beltran turned in a 0 pointer
Dunbar should be the favourite, but his main competitor not mentioned might be Kamna. Thanks for the preview Laurens

As the preview says, we're mostly looking for breakaway success. I really hope Hadi gets involved, he's not done that enough so far. We have one more bullet though, as Sammy Mugisha is the favorite to take white in the time trial. I doubt he'll keep it too long, it should go to Ardila eventually, but if the game somehow allows him to ride optimally for the GC, he might end up in or around the Top 5 in that classification. El Sabbahi even has a small chance to take white on day one, though that should realistically go to Zariff. I'm hoping for a Top 10 for our young Moroccan though.
Dunbar is the top favorite, but I would love to see Beltran show something on the hills. Thanks for the nice preview, looking forward to the reports!

No dice for Zariff.

El Sabbahi even has a small chance to take white on day one, though that should realistically go to Zariff. I'm hoping for a Top 10 for our young Moroccan though.
Neat! I think that's Houcaine's best result for us so far, and basically this race is already a success for us now
Congrats Marco, Hodeg is a beast in these weaker fields!

Good start. A shame Suryadi got boxed in, he flew home and could have contested the win. 3rd is still good though. Now for Eddie to take us (hopefully) closer to salvation!
Thanks for the report and congrats Marco

Awesome awesome awesome, Eddie with the goods and another good TT. A shame to barely miss out on the stage right at the death, but a fantastic overall performance from the team. Wolf and Setiawa both getting good results and sitting pretty in the GC with Dunbar is great. Tomorrow should sort out the GC quite a bit, I would be surprised if the TT riders can hang on as it looks like a feast for the strong punchers. Here’s hoping Dunbar can keep it going!
Thanks for the report and congrats Syykel!

Dunbar strikes first, but Dennis and Brown are well placed in the GC. No clue what kind of bananas Coppel ate recently but he manages to pull out performances in historic races to him.

Awesome TT from both Paillot and Salas and really happy to see Paillot run away with the stage We’re in the best possible position ahead of the hill stages now, and hopefully the leader’s jersey will give Paillot the boost he needs to stay with the puncheurs.

We have one more bullet though, as Sammy Mugisha is the favorite to take white in the time trial. I doubt he'll keep it too long, it should go to Ardila eventually, but if the game somehow allows him to ride optimally for the GC, he might end up in or around the Top 5 in that classification.
2/2 for white jerseys, so far so good. 18th for Uwi might be his best TT of the season, Hadi in 27th is a decent start to potentially set up some depth GC scoring. I'm excited for the coming stages, even if I don't expect too much.

Beltran with the time-trial of his life. I had to go check that he and Gaudu have the same TT stat
Breakaway time tomorrow?
