Hi all,
Downloaded the advanced editor this evening but can't make head nor tail of it. How do you work it? |

Do you mean the full editor from eyolfur? There is a Version 3, which version do you have? With the version 3 you don't need excel or any other tool.
Just copy db to the database folder, then select the database with the editor, then type a name (one word), then export. Now you can select the folder (the name you just gave), select a table and edit it. After editing the table press save. Now you can edit other tables. After you have finished editing, type in the name for the DB and press import. |

Hi, I downloaded the latest version available from the downloads folder. If I add one of the db's from the PCM folder into the db folder for this editor and then select it in the editor nothing happens.
There's an 'import databasename' button but that's frosted out. |

You must type something (anything you wish) in the "Folder Out" field. Lachi has already said it all.
Incidentally, the most important tables you might be looking for are DYN_Team and DYN_Cyclist. |

Thanks guys. Just one final question. I made a custom db using the official editor but can't seem to find it anywhere in the Cyanide folder. Where abouts would it be? |

VueltaMaggot: When you correctly finished, there should be a db with the given name in the db folder. Copy it to the database folder in the PCM-Folder in the "My Documents" folder. (Where the saves are)
Now start the game and go to the options and select your db. |

there are 3 files for the save:
a .cdb file
a .cdb~ file
and a .cdi file
do you just copy the other 2 and change their name? (I am assuming you edit the .cdb file)
thanks

The only file you need to change is the .cdb-file. When finished editing, just move the .cdb-file back. You don't need to do anything with the other files - they are backups created by the game and will automatically be recreated. |

Does anyone know if the v3 is still available for d/l. I'm having a problem getting hold of Excel. Regards Jaywol. |
