In this thread, you can ask your general support questions and report any problems and bugs you find.

Before you do, make sure to read the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) thoroughly to see if your problem has been listed there. If the solution offered in the FAQ below doesn't work for you, please mention this in your post.

Already reported bugs and the solutions (or fixing progress) can be found in the Reported bugs post below this.

Thread Rules

1. Don't ask questions about future release dates - updates will be done when they're done
2. No PMs to DB Team members. If you need support, we'll provide it in here
3. If you'd like to request something to be added in future updates, please use the wishlist thread

Please keep in mind that we're volunteers and we do this in our sometimes limited free time. Most of us are working or studying next to this, so be patient if you don't get a reply or we can't find a solution immediately.

In this post you can find the bugs that have been reported in the Support requests thread since the latest update of the PCM.daily Database Pack. We will explain the bugs and provide you with a (temporary) solution if possible.

UCI WorldTour etc. revert back to Cya World Tour

The most recent patch has replaced our local.cdb. You can download the file again by clicking here and put it into the Database folder in PCM's Steam directory.

In this post you will find answers for the most frequently asked questions of the support thread and the support threads for previous databases.

Can I use other DBs with this installed?

Generally, yes. Be aware though that the changes to the Regen and Simulation xml files as well as some of the graphics changes affect all careers, even those with other DBs.

Is this DB available in the Steam workshop?

Yes! For the first time, we've made our full DB available there, you can check it out here. Please be aware that you need to complete a few extra steps after subscribing to it to enjoy the full content. Those steps are detailed in the Steam description.

Is there a way to download only the .cdb file?

Sure.

Hi, Workshop downloader here!

Just forletting you know, the "Additional files" folder is in

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Workshop\Content\1453850\2525741405

and not

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Pro Cycling Manager 2021\Workshop\Content\1453850\2525741405

Anyway thanks as always!

cunego59
You're right, thanks making us aware. We'll correct that Smile

Hi,
Since i'm not aware how Workshops actually work hereby probably a stupid question. I was an abonnee for the World DB before, I was waiting until your database would be released. I just unsubscribed from their database and downloading everything for PCM Daily right now.

Is that enough? Or should I do a total re-install, like was supposed throughout the years?

The nice thing about workshop dbs is it installs all the new files to a different directory, so I think it should be totally fine without needing to re-install the game no matter if you download the Daily DB through workshop or not. The previously installed world db shouldn't affect it at all, unless you also used their regen/local.cdb files, but if you overwrite them with PCM.dailys that should fix it too.

Very impressive work with the database. Before I start my save does the database suffer the same issue as the other custom databses when it comes to the european and world championships ?

cunego59
Thank you Smile Yes, the EC and WC bug is inherent to the game, we couldn't fix that. However, a patch has been announced for monday that is supposed to address that issue. As every year, it's probably a good call to start any long term careers only after the first few patches Wink

Well, i installed the Daily DB but apparently lost the Echelon stages. Is any way to recover them? Or will you add them?

One quick note from an issue I had today, the 2021 TDF stage 21 in the "Stages" folder of the workshop download had an issue on the Champs-Elysees where there was no start-finish line (with the exception of a SKODA logo on the road) and several isolated objects throughout the course were missing. After copying the official 2021 files from CM_Stages over to the workshop folder, it solved the issue for me. Thanks for all your hard work, it's been a superb DB from my experience so far!

I don’t know if this is an issue with the DB but in their press release before the game came out, Cyanide said that the best team in Continental Pro would get invited to all the WT races. I just started a career with Alpecin and I had to apply for Wildcards. Is that normal?

Yeah, we've overwritten them by mistake. We'll re-add them with an update in the next few days, but you can also add them yourself right now by downloading these stage files. If you have installed our DB through the workshop, you need to paste them in the respective folder there (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Pro Cycling Manager 2021\Workshop\Content\1453850\2525741405\Stages), if you downloaded the DB through our forum, paste them in the CM_Stages folder in PCM's main directory. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Thanks for making us aware, the stage will be replaced in the update as well (and is in the files I linked to earlier, for anyone reading), but glad you found a solution yourself. And we're happy you're enjoying the DB other than that!

I started a career with the default DB and Alpecin as a test and for instance the Grand Tours are marked as "wildcard requested" in their calendar there as well. I haven't simmed far enough to see if any of the wild cards are denied, though. I also don't see anything in the original DB tables that would indicate such a position (best PCT team), at least not at the start of a career. Maybe it's only from the second season on that something changes, I'll look into it and maybe we can replicate that.

Thank you cunego.

Important note: The patch that came today replaced the local.cdb, so you need to replace it with ours again. If you don't have the download files anymore, click here to download just the Local DB. You need to put that into PCM's Steam directory in the Database folder.

Also, apparently there were some changes made to the cdb that has caused some issues (like a ModCheck failed) with other databases. From my preliminary tests, everything seems to be fine with our DB, but if anyone finds any issues, please let us know!

cunego59 is there somewhere on this page where you can download the new patch that came out today?

cunego59
The game automatically updates when you start it in Steam, you don't need to do anything specifically.

Hi cunego59,

Since the patch that fixes the Europeans and Worlds in Pro Cyclist mode has been released, will there be any patches on this db?
Is that even with the update, I still can't choose teamates and the Europeans and Worlds still don't appear in the calendar.
Also when I won the youth of Vuelta, the jersey that stayed in my conquests was the European ITT, youth of the vuelta doesn't appear

We will release a first update likely tomorrow or thursday at the latest, with a few small fixes and some database updates. Then probably a more extensive stat update post-Tour.

The issue of not being able to choose teammates is a game issue, Cyanide is working on it. WC and EC should be on the calendar, but in a career that has already been started, it will only appear in the current year if you were ahead of August 18th. Otherwise, it will only appear in the following year. Or do you mean that the races don't appear at all, even when you start a new career?

As for the mini jersey, that's pretty weird. I don't have an idea right now what could be wrong, but I'll look into it. Could take a day or two, though. Would you mind uploading your savegame that this occured with? Either here or if you're on Discord, you can join our server by clicking on the link in the top bar of this website and contact me there.

bmds85
yes, I started a new career with both, this db as well as the default db, and in both the EU and WC never appear on the calendar. Only appear as selected objective, but not in the calendar.

I don't know if it has to do with the space for the maillots, but notice that the ones from the youth of Vuelta and Giro are not there
