Our school system is also pretty bad (mainly the exam side), been getting worse every year for a couple of decades

I 'm french guy in boarding in England and the school aren't that bad the level is decent and you have ativity ie sport, art or music that you don,t have in France
But some english state school suck like in all country |

You're going to have to qualify that statement for me. I've lived and taught in a number of other countries and I can say confidently that from what I've seen, our public school system infrastructure here is far superior. Now, standardized testing and forcing teachers to limit their curriculum by teaching to the test and not to the students' strengths/weaknesses is a problem. But we can't take credit for that debacle. We got that idea from somewhere else.  Love to hear your insight on the matter, if you have any.
