well I get home from the scare of almost crashing the car in the middle of the night...just to read the news and get another scare.
extract from Jaksche's "confession"
I was told by one rider that there are deals between some teams and the UCI concerning the training controls. So one has to assume that there is no general change going on. This rider told me that proudly. Then I knew: Nothing has changed"
despite Jaksche being under pressure to produce a big story so he can get paid big bucks that he needs to feed his family.....I still believe him.
this is all very screwed up....and that's basically all I can say.

It's about time for that. I can pay him 10 euros..extra..just is time to hear all of us..what is going on. This is not just inside circle information to fool us all. Lets hope he doesn't keep something back...and we can see nice clean TdF new lineups. |

I hope he does tell all. hope that monday the interview does come with a lot more.
specifically I'd like him to say: all the teams he was at. did all of them dope? if not, which ones?
who does he know is involved in not just Puerto, but ANY doping.
this is what I'd like him to say.

Jaksche said he took nothing before the 1999 Tour, in which he finished 80th. Without drugs, "You have to put in more effort, recovery is slower. I couldn't hang on and felt unnecessary. At the end, I was afraid of getting dropped at railroad bridges."
It is 1 to 1..to Kirsipuu story..without dope..you gonna should afraid even small mountains.
Climber like Jacksche telling same story thats already big warning for me..

issoisso: There was actually a kind of extract in Danish media today, in which he says that he has used doping on all teams he has been on. Started at Polti back in the days and has used it ever since. Danish media has focused a lot on the fact that Riis, according to Jacksche, knew all about it. |

that kind of explains why in the interview with Voigt that I posted in the Tour thread, Jens says that Riis wanted to start 2005 doing away with all they did in the past in terms of preparation and go with something completely new. Jaksche left at the end of 2004.

Bavarian wrote a quite good "review": Bavarian wrote:
Jaksche confessed that he doped throughout his entire career. His doping career started just when his Pro career started. At Polti 1997 he was given syringes with Vitamines which he should inject himself. In June 1997 he took his first dose of EPO. He also took some pills with the side effect that he got some pustules on his upper body and arms.
1999 at Telekom he took EPO and Growth hormons. Walter Goodefroot told the riders not to take dope with to races. According to Jaksche, Goodefroot didn't want to stop the riders from doping, but he didn't want them to dope in a stupid way. 8)
The biggest problem at the time was how to hide the doping stuff. One idea was to bury the stuff along the TdF route and dig it out later. Somebody else adviced to hide it in a vacuum cleaner with false bottom.
2001 to 2003 was another doping intense time at Once.
At CSC in 2004he took EPO again but above all cortisone. Jaksche said that he used cortisone throughout the entire year. He also points out that Riis knew of everything what happnened.
Back in Spain at Liberty 2005 he got to know Dr. Eufemio and started with blood doping. First Jaksche couldn't get along with all the in and out of his blood but then it worked. He also got some pills from Fuentes to hide EPO doping. You just needed to mix that stuff with the urine sample. Jaksche isn't telling any names. He claimsthat all the fuentes clients didn't know each other. Another rider ( still no name ) told Jaksche that that Fuentes offered him to pay a bit more for getting a more exclusive supply.
Jaksche doesn't want to incriminate any other rider. Indirectly he says though that Rominger and Vinokourov demanded a "better medical supply" from Manolo Saiz.
Bella Jorg also mentined that the Fuentes list is changing. One day there were some names missing. He also claimed that there are special arrangements between UCI and some team sconcerning training controles.
Finally Jaksche admitted that he would still be doping now if he hadn't been caught by the Fuenes List. Now a great statement:
" If you know that cycling hasn't changed you must continue. Doping is perverse, but the doping system is fair, as everybody is doping." 8)

"I don't want to burden any riders," Jaksche told 'Der Spiegel'. But he did. Even if he doesn't mention any names it is clear which rider Jaksche meant when he said: "Saiz [Manolo Saiz, team manager of Liberty seguros] had problems with a top rider from his team, who moveed to Liberty Seguros at the beginning of the year [2006] and who had a bad spring. The rider and his manager [Tony Rominger], who was my manager for five years as well, pressured Saiz. They wanted better medical care and Saiz got involved. He was stucked between a rock and a hard place: The top rider is expensive, Saiz had to justify himself for his sponsors. (...) Saiz returned to Fuentes because of this rider, that's why he had to pay those debts, that's why the whole thing came out."
Vino? Rominger does or did manage Vinokourov....

I don't know if I should believe him. every time someone is paid to tell "the truth" and the truth is later discovered, it is always found that there were at the very least gross exaggerations in the story.
I have no doubt that some of what he's saying is true....but I have a very hard time believing he's being honest.

Doesn't matter though. Astana is likely to be kicked out of the tour. 2 offenses within 12 months = ban according to the rules. They already have two: Kessler Mazzolini, if not more that we haven't heard about.

I hope they are, but I seriously doubt they will be.
and now that we're at it, kick mr. Belmonte up the ass and out the door too...along with a few more that I have in mind...

Im not convinced that they will be kicked out and personally I'd rather theyd not be kicked out. Doped or not I'd still like to see them in London and they would make the mountain stages much more interesting.

so you're advocating it's okay to dope?

Thing about Vino is. Jorg has pointed towards him. UCI has been trailing him. The missed vuelta check. After a while it all adds up.
On a good note, with all these confessions/evidence, I am more firmly convinced Armstrong cheated.
UCI anti-doping representative Anne Gripper told German daily newspaper Handelsblatt: "It's rather likely that Astana will be excluded from the Tour. Nevertheless we have to wait for what Kessler's B probe might reveil," said the Australian.
With mazzolini's case, they have phone tappings and video of a certain italian doctor giving epo doses to the likes of di luca and such.
terrible....

No, Id prefer riders to be clean, but until; theyre actually proven to have doped, have been banned and/or admitted and/or failed a drugs test - until then, I see no reason why they should be not allowed to race.

and they have sms messages of Mazzo to the doctor asking "can I come in for three trainings?"....and audio of the doctor telling di luca over the phone that to avoid the controls at milano-san remo he must take EPO as soon as possible, that very day...
and video of di luca and mazzoleni sitting around the doctor's house talking....and video of the doctor preparing doses for two people...
and all that happened ON THE SAME DAY
uhm...I wonder if it could all be coincidence?

yes, of course, but what I meant was if the B-sample comes back positive...which it will...there are very few recorded cases of it coming back different from the A sample.
