We return to USA for the Tour de Georgia, a race absolutely dominated by Domenico Pozzovivvo last year
1 Domenico Pozzovivo CERAMICA PANARIA - NAVIGARE 29h51'06
2 Óscar Pereiro Sio UNE ORBITEL + 4'27
3 Tadej Valjavec UNE ORBITEL + 5'56
4 Pietro Caucchioli AGRITUBEL + 7'20
5 David Blanco WIESENHOF - FELT + 7'49
6 Mikel Astarloza TINKOFF CREDIT SYSTEMS + 10'04
7 Luis Perez Rodriguez LANDBOUWKREDIET - TÖNISSTEINER + 10'14
8 Iker Camaño NIPPO CORPORATION - MEITAN HOMPO CO. LTD - ASADA + 11'29
9 Pedro Pablo Pérez Márquez NIPPO CORPORATION - MEITAN HOMPO CO. LTD - ASADA + 11'50
10 José Luis Arrieta CERAMICA PANARIA - NAVIGARE + 12'04
But with so many good names here, the time gaps are unlikely to be as big. They include:
Aleksandr Pluchkin - Recent Tour of Hellas winner - B&0
Daniel Moreno - Recently 3rd at the Tour of Hellas - Benfica
Jose Chacon - 2nd place in the Vuelta al Tachira - Champion
Tom Danielson - Continental Tour Leader - Fed-Ex
Pedro Pablo Perez Marquez - 9th last year - Nippo
Bernhard Kohl - Season debut, winner of Langkawi and Osterreich Rundfahrt last year - White Bear Steyr
Wilmer Vasquez - 2nd on recent Queen stage of Hellas - NVidia
Saul Raisin - Strong showings in South America earlier this season - Slipstream
Oscar Pereiro - Season debut, 2nd here last year - Ernst&Young
Jackson Rodriguez - 4th on Hellas Queen Stage - Pearl Jam
Also riding with no realistic GC aspirations are Dasani, Gatorade, IrnBru, Zenmind, Wikipedia B, Slipstream B, American Suzuki B
I didnt really look at riders other than GC riders but expect Haedo to be the top performer in the sprints.

I think my team will be pretty much invisible on the first flat stages as I haven't any sprinter. Not that I have any great sprinters anyway
Pluchkin must suffer from severe jet-lag since he the day before the 1st stage here finished Tour of Hellas according to the calendar

Pluchkin's not alone, infact, the stage start time had to be delayed as so many riders were flying in from both Britain and Greece

Yeah but the riders flying in from GP Archer is one hour behind the ones from Greece (or is it 2 even?), so they can adapt a whole lot easier

Plus the fact that in Greece it was a very tough mountain stage!
Anyway, stage posted

That stage reminded me of last season. I'm in the break, the break gets caught and there is no-one from my team even close to the front in the sprint. Not that I expected something from a stage like this considering the sprinter material or lack thereof I've brought here
