No, he's right, the download sections here are always almost completely devoid of any projects that involve french people for some reason.

oh, I thought you mean the fact that it seems to only ever be updated with projects from certain communities. sorry about that.

Many of them have been moved to 'Outdated Files' as they are not compatibile with the latest version of the game. (Wont work with the patch installed).
But youre right isso, and at some point I will go and take a look on the Cyanide forum for any databases that are available there. (Although, not understanding french will not help my cause much)

That makes sense.

If you need help, I'll be happy to provide it. Although with so many versions and small fixes around, it's hard to keep track of them.

It would be so much easier if they all talked English on the cyanide forum. Then all could keep up with all db and stuff

As already mentioned, I moved the non-compatible databases to the Outdated Files section. They simply don't work with the new patch.
Other than that, all I can say is that you find the largest amount of PCM08 files on PCM.daily. I do admit that I don't add too many databases from the official forum, but I have reasons for that:
1. They are usually not very good
2. They released 1000 patches
3. The files are extremely large, because they put in a lot of weird stuff in their packages (new French commentary files, etc.)
I know it's not my job to decide what's good enough to be available for download, but ... |

Maybe we should set up a Offical forum correspondent, someone that can speak enough french to pick up most of the important details. Every week there could be a report on whats new. For databases they could let waghlon know. He does a review on it and then gives it the thumbs up or down to wether it gets put in the DL section Thats my idea anyway. |

i dont know either of them but i got the impression that dankan is a big dog in pcmspain, and doddy from england? just thought it was easier if someone was already on both forums and didnt have to take it like a job or something less work more chance it worked |

Im not talking about PCM Spain, im talking about the offical Cyanide forum where most of the Database makers release their work. A lot of graphical work is put up there because thats where most people are. With a correspondent we can get an update about whats going on. Im not sure what our admins think of the idea but its worth flagging it up |

Guys, we can easily find and add databases from France, Spain, Germany, etc. After all, you don't need any special language qualities to find them. So thanks for the idea, but it's not needed |

Ok it was worth putting the idea up there. What do you think about let waghlon know about the database and letting him test it before it gets a place in the DL section.
I suppose thats not needed as you said that most databases are put it regardless of quality. |
