Well, new version installed, and I think I'm not the only one where the site is still running slow.
I'm sorry Crue, but I think the only option is too start pruning old posts, setting max PM, and deleting non-posting members. |

I'm thinking the same thing but the post deleting thing is quiet a shame if it have to be done IMO

The speed of the site is slightly better for me. I dont think we should delete posts. Maybe make sure PMs are deleted and maybe get rid of some unposting members. |

It's done everywhere. On cyanide, on pcmbenelux, on ppdb...
if you don't prune, your forum/site will inevitable fail some way... It's sad, but true |

Ruben is right. It's the forum which slows the entire site down. It has simply reached its max, and for now, there's nothing to do about it -- except accepting it. |

But there is probably a lot of threads about technical problems where people have asked for help, those can be deleted. The half started/ stopped stories can probably be deleted (?) and so on if that will help.. I think most of the members would prefer a faster site instead of many old posts we doesn't read..
At least i would.. |

I've been telling Mike that. he's very reluctant, to say the least.

I love the new look
But yes, the site still runs a little slow... Maybe Ruben is right, and you guys have to be more severe with things like the PM box and some useless threads
EDIT: Is it just me or the smileys are placed a little below the text line??

You can delete virtually the whole of the management game transfers - a total of 482 threads and 3580 posts
