Most likely, you unpacked the database in the wrong directory. As a general rule, you need to install the Expansion Pack in the same directory as the one where you can find the PCM executable file (PCM.exe). In our installer, you should manually change the installation directory. The standard location where Steam installs your game is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Pro Cycling Manager 2018, but this directory can be different if you set Steam to install the game in another directory (f.e. D:\SteamLibrary\common\Pro Cycling Manager 2018).

If the Lite Pack has worked fine until you updated to V2.1, you'll have to uninstall the Lite Pack and then reinstall V2(.0) again. After that, run the Updater again to update to V2.2. There has been a problem with the installer of V2.1, which uninstalled previous versions of the Lite Pack, therefore removing many features from the Lite Pack. This has been solved with V2.2, but if you encountered the problem, the only way to fix it is by reinstalling V2.0 and then updating to V2.2 using the Updater.

This is a problem with Steam Workshop and occurs to many people across different games. A few workarounds that are mentioned on Steam forums:
- Install the game after subscribing to the mod. Steam will download the mod right after installation of the game. If you do this, you'll have to reinstall the Lite Pack as well.
- Don't use Steam client betas, as these might inflict this issue.
- Sign out of Steam, close the Steam client, restart your computer, open Steam client and log back in.
- Same as the solution above, but first unsubscribe from the Workshop mod and at the end resubscribe to the mod.

You should reinstall the Lite Pack after a game update. We are currently investigating if the Repair option of the installer does the trick as well. We will report this here as soon as we know more.

You don't necessarily need a clean installation of Pro Cycling Manager 2017. We recommended this when we released the 2016DB for PCM 2015, because of the large amount of problems the Expansion Pack was causing back then. Since the Lite Pack haven't caused any gamebreaking bugs since the final patch, you don't need to perform a clean install before installing V1 of the Expansion Pack.

However, performing a clean install will save you a marginal amount of disk space if you had the EP or another database installed before, and will of course lower the risk of incurring in annoying crashes, even though nothing like that is supposed to happen.

To perform a clean install, go to your installation directory and delete all contents of the folder Pro Cycling Manager 2017. Don't delete the folder itself! Open Steam, go to your Library and right click Pro Cycling Manager 2017. Select Properties and go to Local Files. Click Verify integrity of game cache. Steam will now check which files are missing (all files) and will automatically download and install them again.

We tried to configure this database in a way that it can be installed alongside another database. However, there are some files that could get overwritten when you install another database. This could result in alterations of your gameplay (like different sponsorkits or missing/wrong jerseys, accessories, etc.) or even crashes. So it is possible to install multiple databases, but it's risky.

You can however try to make a second installation of PCM in a different path. This way you can play 2 databases with virtually no risks!
