He's the best in everything but TT. His stats are way to low in PCM 07 |

I feel the jury on his time trialling is still out.
he'll probably do very well at the Tour's prologue, but the real test is the first long one. stage 14.
that's where we'll know how much he has really improved.
so far, I'd say he hasn't improved since last year (when he made a big improvement from 2005), but as I said, I think we'll only be able to take conclusions after stage 14 of the Tour.

Yes but he got 9th in the dauphine that was 40km, he beat David Millar! And he had the beginings of a stomach problem. |

you just never know in what kind of form the contenders are.
at the Tour, you can judge because everyone TRIES to be at their best there.
but so soon seems a little premature to me, especially since Valverde every year tends to go too hard in training and peak too early (this year he finally admitted it himself!)
for instance, Kashechkin won a minute on Leipheimer. I don't think for a minute Kash is a better time triallist.
Tadej Valjavec beat Bert Grabsh, Fothen, Hincapie. who do you think is better in the TT?
and there are countless more examples of what I'm trying to say

he only came down with it that night. if he really had been affected by then, he wouldn't even finish the stage (like everyone else who had the bug at the time)

I don't agree, but I guess the long TTs at the Tour will tell us either way, won't they?

he did, but one was a bit hilly...and the other one was hilly overall and had a VERY tough climb in the middle.
he needs higher stats no doubt. I just don't think they should be THAT increased.

hehe thats right.. but i think its allright to give our opinion
we can take them down and make them higher with an editor though
and DB makers could read our opinions |
